My father in law loves their salmon so he brought us and our 2 kids for dinner. They have a kids menu and the atmosphere is casual. We were seated quickly and served drinks and the appetizers came out fairly quickly. The swamp cabbage fritters were tasty calorie bombs. The insides were like a soft fluffy dough. Dinner however literally took them 50 minutes after we ordered to be served. Because my dinner companions asked for substitutions in the salad…My 9 year old was hangry! He started to point out that people who came after us (like 30 minutes after us) were served before us. The salads were good, but the creamy Mac n cheese was gritty and my starving child ate 1/2 and stopped. Our waitress and the staff were great and took it off the check. I ordered the patty melt- that was so juicy the bread was soggy ..sigh…Does excellent wait staff make up for so so kitchen flow?

Our first time to The Shipyard and it did not disappoint! Everything we ate was delicious and large portions. The house salad with the balsamic dressing was great as well.

Had the most beautiful view of the sunset while eating dinner. The restaurant is very cute inside and plenty of seating. They even had a trivia night on Tuesday. Tween Waters did a fantastic job on decorating for Christmas as well, everything was so detail oriented.

Next time on the island we will definitely be back!

Beautiful beach feel bar and grill. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and food was very good. Drunken shrimp, crab cakes, and she crab soup was very good.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service (Nick) was great and the view/atmosphere was second to none. The prices are a little up there but we found the portions to be large and everything we ordered tasted great so all that combined with the view; we felt it was worth it. Whether you’re staying at Tween Waters or not, make sure to stop by The Shipyard for dinner and catch an amazing sunset! Just make sure to make reservations prior so you can avoid a wait. ️

The calamari was tasty and the portions were big. The onion rings were very good. The salmon and the grouper was great. Great food and great atmosphere. What else can you ask for?

Our visit to the shipyard was fine. The food was decent and prepared well. I wasn’t a real fan of their blackened grouper. The service was decent but not overwhelming. A couple of times we had to wait a decent amount to get drink refills. The atmosphere was fine — was clean and generally nice inside. However, the atmosphere was quite loud and difficult to talk to over. Since we were staying in Sanibel rather than Captiva, I’m not sure we would drive to return to the restaurant unless we are on that side of the islands.

Visited this restaurant for breakfast and dinner while staying at Tween Waters. I honestly was not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food options, taste, and service. The highlight for me was the pulled pork sandwich. It did not taste like your typical frozen out of a bag pulled pork, this one tasted fresh and really good BBQ flavor. The fries that came with it were also delicious. For breakfast, I had the chorizo omelet, and that one was really good as well. Overall, I have no complaints and look forward to returning.

Really cool vibe that’s “off the beaten path”. A little pricey but it comes with the territory for its location. Great menu that fits all palettes. Drinks were good and beer was cold. This is a great place to get a late reservation then walk across the street for sunset. Key lime pie was amazing ‍

Wow a must go to . Not a 5 star restaurant for fine dinning .
But 5 star all day long for a family meal , or a couple . Everything from the service to the starters and entree were perfectly flavored and cooked the portions were perfect .
If you like chicken wings request a side of the Korean tai chilli sauce instead of the other sauces listed. Wow
I even asked for the names of all the wonderful people who provided me with the best experience. July 19th 2024 was our visit
Thank you Laura manager
John Feagan, John Rhodes the chefs and Kiaren our server .
Thank you I will be back

Their breakfast menu is amazing. It is so hard to decide what to order because there are so many wonderful things. Luckily, I will be able to go back and try some others. I ordered the banana bread French toast and it was absolutely amazing. The service was very good and they do serve Starbucks coffee.
