With only eight tables and reservations in constant demand, we somehow managed to secure a weekend spot by calling more than a month in advance. I was genuinely grateful just to be there. They seated us at a little two top tucked into the corner by the window. Normally I am not a fan of two-seaters because they can feel like an afterthought. But this one felt intentional. From our spot we could see the whole intimate dining room and watch the chef cooking away. It felt cozy, not cramped.
We started with a bottle of white and two appetizers that set the tone immediately. The tuna tartare was bright and fresh, perfectly balanced. The sausage over spinach and broccoli was warm and rustic and full of flavor. Simple ingredients done really, really well.
I especially love that they wheel the menus over on chalkboards instead of handing you a printed menu. Our server Gus was great and carefully explained each item. You can tell the chef works with whatever is best that day. That detail alone says a lot.
My husband, who is very picky about pasta, ordered the lobster pappardelle in red sauce with a little kick. He was thrilled. I had the shrimp and lobster pappardelle in a sauce that I honestly cannot even describe properly. It was just incredible. Rich but balanced. Every bite made me pause.
Everything was marvelous. I have not enjoyed a meal that much since Florence. And finding that kind of experience here in Florida felt like a little gift.

Absolutely phenomenal and worth every penny. The menu was well thought out, the food was fresh, authentic, and delicious, the service was excellent, Lilly (our server) was knowledgeable on the menu, made great suggestions about wine and the menu, and was super sweet and personable. I can literally go on, so many good things to say about this place, but I’ll stop lol Make a reservation and find out for yourself.

What can I say?! I’ve actually been waiting years to dine here! Absolutely amazing! The entire experience exceeded my expectations! The owner, chef, is in there by himself making every dish! Great dishes, large portions, reasonable wine prices from an extensive wine list, and known for their specialty items, such as their fresh made pappardelle pasta, tableside preparations, and generous use of truffles with various dishes. Go ahead and give this spot a Micheline Star. Think family restaurant with a refined air. Incredible wine selection and definitely upscale. Reservations are hard to come by, but the wait is well worth it. Meal options are farm to table and rotate based on availability. Italian menu with seafood options. The scallops with gnochi were a hit at our table. Very authentic and chef owned. Nothing but high praise from me. The wine room doubles as a private room for parties and meetings. Great friendly and personable staff that were on their game with efficiency and speed. Put it on your list for top 5 options in Sarasota for sure.

Great service and food. They have a large selection of wine. The veal chop was excellent and very big. The table side caesar is also a must try. The menu changes frequently. Everything was top notch quality. I visited for a second time and the food was again excellent. The service was as good as can be.

I enjoyed the Bahamian Lobster Tail and a Tableside Caesar Salad, while my husband had the Gulf Shrimp & Lobster Homemade Pappardelle. Another couple in our group raved about the Chilean Sea Bass. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous enough that I even had a little left to take home for my fur baby!
The ambiance was small, intimate, and cozy—perfect for a special night out. The service was exceptional, and the staff’s attention to detail made the evening even better. The bottle of wine recommended by our server was lovely, according to the wine lovers in our group. We were referred by a friend who loved this place, and it certainly lived up to the hype!
