Had a fantastic dinner at Joséphine Bouchon. We started with the bread basket and a chopped salad that was amazing—served perfectly cold and in incredibly fresh condition. It was the best way to start.
For the main, the Fillet was excellent, and the steamed potatoes (pomme vapeur) were the perfect side. For dessert, we had the Mousse au Chocolat, and I suggested to my partner that we top it with some fleur de sel—it was a great addition! That little hit of salt really brought out the richness of the chocolate.
Superb service and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a 10/10.

Cute restaurant, tasty food, nice wine, and friendly staff. However, they were clearly understaffed, which resulted in slow service and several mistakes.

It took nearly 20 minutes for a waiter to take our dessert order. When they finally did, they came back to tell us the dessert we wanted wasn’t available that day, so we ended up waiting for nothing.

The house wine system also seemed unnecessarily complicated and caused additional delays. We deliberately didn’t drink much wine at lunch and had probably less than one-third of the bottle. When we asked for the bill, the waiter had to wait for the sommelier to measure the remaining wine. We were told we had consumed the equivalent of two glasses, and the bottle was taken away.

Then there was more confusion. The waiter returned about 10 minutes later without knowing whether the wine had been measured or what amount should be charged. After checking again, we were eventually charged for three glasses instead of two. (£7/glass, £28/bottle)

By that point, we just wanted to leave.

It’s dog friendly, which we appreciated, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

We had a fantastic experience from the moment we stepped in with a welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The food is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

I especially loved the combination of classic French comfort dishes with a modern twist. The service was prompt without ever feeling rushed, and the overall vibe is relaxed yet elegant.

There are some food items, like the rabbit that is in limited supply, so make sure you get your requests in with your bookings.

It’s the perfect spot for a date night, weekend brunch, or a catch-up with friends.

Fantastic service and really went the extra mile to celebrate my birthday despite me not mentioning it with the booking.

Beautifully decorated and as a Parisian I really felt at ‘home’.

Before coming I was a little worried this might be an ‘influencer’ spot aka aesthetically nice but mediocre food however my friends and I loved our meal – delicious.

I had a great meal here. Diverse menu with classic French cooking done very well. Nice wine list, too. Decor is classy, service was friendly although a little uncoordinated and could do with some attention but overall a great place for quality French food

Delicious and delectable dining experience! Best french restaurant I have ever been to! You can truly feel the authenticity of the dishes and the heart and soul that went into the curation of the menu and the tastes on offer.

Everything about this place was incredible from the wine to the warm bread and insanely good butter. The cheese soufflé was next level, all the right kind of stinky, cheesy amazingness. But the real star is the French onion soup. It is truly the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many). Caramelized to perfection, thick, cheesy, and absolutely flawless.

10/10! Excellent food, probably the best lamb I’ve ever had. We had oysters for starter which were very fresh and great quality. Dessert also delicious. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere, feels like you are in Paris. Very reasonably priced for the quality and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Hearty French fare. Great service. The onion soup and lamb shoulder are must haves during cold London winter.
