I was also unaware there was a debit/credit card fee until I saw the charge later on the receipt. The only thing I was made aware of beforehand was that tap wasn’t accepted and that you have to use your physical card. There was no mention of any extra fee for using a card when placing the order or when paying.
If there are extra fees for using debit/credit, customers should be clearly told beforehand instead of finding out after the charge. It honestly reminded me of some of those Arab convenience stores that charge extra for paying with a card, which isn’t a great experience as a customer. The system charges the business when someone uses debit/credit, not the customer, yet the business is passing that fee onto the customer, which feels a bit sketchy.
Overall, food was decent; but the unexpected charges definitely left a bad impression.

Hello,
Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that my original review was simply about the lack of communication regarding the additional fees. When I placed my order, the employee did not mention that sauces would be an extra charge, nor was I informed about a debit/credit card convenience fee before paying. I also did not personally notice any signage about the fee at the counter, though it may have been there.
My feedback was intended as constructive criticism about transparency during the ordering process. If customers are verbally informed about add-ons and card fees beforehand, it helps avoid confusion or a negative experience when reviewing the receipt later.
I was also surprised that your response chose to bring up H&R Block, which has nothing to do with the experience I described. My review was about (MY) interaction with your business only. Bringing another local business into the conversation feels unnecessary and unprofessional, especially when they were not involved in the situation at all. Constructive feedback about customer service should not turn into comparisons or criticism of unrelated businesses. My main and only concern was simply being unaware of the additional fees and the lack of communication.
To be clear, this was just a small order of fries that cost about $5, which the restaurant received payment for. This was never meant to become a back-and-forth over a small order of French fries, of all things. It was simply constructive feedback about transparency during the ordering process.
At this point, I won’t be returning, so there is no need for us to meet or discuss this further. I simply hope the feedback can be taken constructively and used to improve communication with future customers.
Have a good day.
Do not overlook this gem of a restaurant and enjoy some of their delicious goodness and great hospitality for yourself.
Food was just like mom would make.
Highly recommend
