Ava’s is a true gem in Rehoboth. Great food, drinks, atmosphere and friendly service make this spot a must when in town and looking for something more than your typical beach or boardwalk fare.
⭐️ of the show is their Detroit style pizzas! The dough is so soft and airy on the inside, and the crust has the perfect char and crisp. The sauce has a great balance of sweetness and acidity.
Meatballs are another must here! They’re firm to the fork, but they melt in your mouth. *Pro tip* – Dip the crust from your Detroit pie in the sauce of the meatballs, doesn’t get any better than that!
The bolognese was rich and creamy, good flavor and hearty dish. Only downside was the pasta for me. Not sure if it’s the quality of it or if because it sat for quite a long time. Our meal took a very long time to come out and my dish was barely luke warm, and that was the pasta on the bottom of the bowl.
Decided to overlook that misstep because overall Ava’s is a great neighborhood spot that should be on your list when in the area.

I love pizza. I don’t care if it’s Neapolitan pizza, NY Style pizza, Chicago deep dish, or this amazing Detroit Style Pepperoni pizza that Ava’s has. I stop in all the time to get one. Most often it’s for a to go order but we have also eaten in a few times. The staff is great. Very friendly and attentive. Food comes out quickly whether you are dining in or getting it to go. They have a great variety of pizza and food options. So if the Detroit style pizza isn’t for you, I am sure they have something else that will satisfy you.

Stopped in here between lunch and dinner for a drink and a snack. Got there just about right when it opened at 4pm. No reservation. It was empty, and we were sat at a high top table. As we ate, people flowed in for dinner and some sat at the bar. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks arrived very quickly, and our food came out fast. Their “famous” meatball was really good, and we enjoyed the mozzarella and tomatoes. Drinks were also tasty. Kind of wish we had tried there for a full dinner!

Ava Pizza and Wine Bar in downtown Rehoboth is a fantastic culinary find, offering a delightful dining experience that goes beyond your typical pizza joint.
The restaurant boasts a great downtown location, making it easily accessible and a perfect spot to grab a bite after exploring Rehoboth. The interior is very airy and inviting, with a comfortable mix of bar and table seating, catering to various preferences.

What truly elevates the experience at Ava is the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, even striking up good conversations that added to the welcoming atmosphere. Their genuine enthusiasm for the menu was evident and much appreciated.

Speaking of the menu, it offers a great variety, ensuring there’s something to please every palate. We started with the Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious, featuring a homemade dressing that truly made it stand out.
However, the undisputed star of the show at Ava Pizza and Wine Bar is their Detroit Style Pizza. This isn’t just good pizza; it’s exceptional.
We tried the Mediterranean, and it was “off the hook” – piled high with fresh, vibrant vegetables, an excellent assortment of cheeses, and a dough that was both light and incredibly crispy. It’s clear that high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation are at the heart of their offerings.

While Ava Pizza and Wine Bar might not be a budget-friendly option like a quick slice from Gotto’s, the slight bump in price is absolutely worth it for the superior quality of ingredients and the expert preparation.

If you’re looking for an elevated pizza experience in Rehoboth, Ava Pizza and Wine Bar is an absolute must-visit.

While i think the pizza is pretty good here, the takeout procedure never fails to shock me. Today the pizza is now going on 30 minutes delay from when they said it would be ready and it’s still not here. i feel like this is something that is really the fault of management. If they can’t deliver the pizza in a timely fashion, they should level with you rather than tell you to show up in 45 minutes and still not get the pizza after waiting for 30 minutes. It’s pretty disappointing. Still waiting….

Today, I visited Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for the very first time.

I live in Alexandria, VA. I maybe have pizza five or six times a year – and so when I have pizza, it has to be really good.

The pizza has to be awesome – because I’m someone who has maintained a weight loss of 70 pounds for over 10 years.

I had the great fortunate today of eating at Ava’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar in Rehoboth Beach. The service was absolutely awesome – they are so nice and treated me like family (I’m dead serious – the staff was so nice to me). I ordered the Detroit Style Pizza – and they actually gave me a coupon covering a buy one get one free pizza (they honestly treated me like royalty – that was an unexpected coupon – praise to the bartender for taking care of me). The pizza was A plus – it was awesome.

I highly encourage that you spend your money here. Thank you for treating me so well.

In the past they did not have a vegan cheese option for pizzas, but now they do!! Our pizzas were excellent (mushroom tart pizza, mediterranean pizza).

They also offer a gluten-free crust but it is not vegan.

Happy to have vegan craft brick oven pizzas in downtown Rehoboth!

First time at Ava’s. Food and drinks were delicious. Our server Madalyn (hope I’m spelling it right. We joked about having the same name) was fantastic, recommended a great wine and was attentive through out the whole dinner.
