Had the chicken sandwich with avocado. Along with that i had mash potatoes, and a cup of Chilli. Very delicious. Quite a few choices to choose from. Great place in Silverton. Great staff and a nice warm place to eat.

This place is more for the atmosphere and the feel like you just took a step back into time or on a western movie set. The best part was the musician playing and singing on the piano. Food was meh. Experience was a 10!

Will return

We’re in town for an hour, to catch the train.

The ragtime music drew us in.

The fine featured female pianist. High ceiling. Wood bar, wood floor… all very charming.

We’ve the pastrami sandwich and the side salad: all are good. We poured half of salad into the sandwich tray to add the dressing.

Thanks for the music.

The building was amazing just like the rest of the town with its rustic historic vibes. It was family friendly so I was able to bring my three and a half year old grandchild in… Once we stepped in we noticed the bartender was dressed in period where which was perfect. The flyer on our table gave us a little history of the building and some of its outlaw guests. As a chef I’m probably a little critical as far as food goes it was basic bar food menu. I wanted the meat and cheese platter which they were out of their rabbit rattlesnake sausage so we didn’t get that but all in all it was a good visit.

We ate here Christmas week. We were staying in Purgatory and really wanted to check out a Silverton spot. We didn’t know what to expect but we were blown away.
Stay with the cheese curds….just delicious.
I’m a steak snob and being from Las Vegas I’m very picky about steaks.
This place competes with our top steaks we have had in Vegas at very well known places for steak.
Do not sleep on this spot…..especially the ribeye.
You get an old saloon feel with delicious food. Kudos to the chef. The steak was phenomenal.

We had the cheese curds appetizer and sampled four different draft beers. Sat at the bar and the tender was fantastic. The piano man took requests. Fun time!

Historic saloon just two blocks from the Durango & Silverton railroad – if you’re coming on the train I highly recommend Lacy Rose for lunch.

During lunch they have a live piano player. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Food is flavorful and reasonably priced. Centrally located so you can grab lunch, walk the town, and get back to the train.

Rumor has it there is a ghost in the bathroom. Not sure whether its the mens or the ladies and I haven’t seen it. But other people say they have – and sometimes during the day. I guess at high altitude ghosts aren’t as limited to the dark.

Great experience! The bar manager, server, chef and piano entertainer made an early dinner of French dip, asparagus and Brussels sprouts, Amaretto Sour and Durango Draft Beer were delicious. We did tiramisu to go for dessert back in our room at the Grand Imperial Hotel.

We had taken the train from Durango to Silverton and were meeting friends when we stopped in for lunch before continuing our journey. This place is awesome the staff is incredible. When we live in a time where it seems customer service is lacking these folks step it up to ensure you enjoy your visit.
The food was great as well as the drinks. Their version of the Bloody Mary was delicious!!!
The manager I’m thinking possibly the owner went above and beyond when describing their tequilas for the margaritas.
Definitely will stop in again when passing through with friends and recommend you give it a try..Cheers!
