Sand Dollar Pancakes is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to! The pancakes are unbelievably fluffy, light, and full of flavor — they really live up to the name. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the toppings are generous without being overdone.
Beyond the pancakes, the rest of the breakfast menu is just as impressive. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The coffee was smooth and strong (a must for me in the mornings!), and the portions were perfect for starting the day satisfied.
The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, like the kind of place you want to linger and enjoy your meal instead of rushing out the door.
If you’re in the area and looking for a memorable breakfast or brunch spot, I can’t recommend Sand Dollar Pancakes enough. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again!

I have tried many of the local breakfast spots including Meg’s, Sunny Hunny, Jimmys, Patti’s Kitchen, sunset key and Charlie’s. This place is by far the best. The service is friendly, the food is delicious and cooked quickly to order. The pancakes are fluffy and tasty. I highly recommend this place.
I will say it has become a game to see if the grumpy faced owner Festa ever smiles. She does not. She will be a staple behind the counter. Ignore her scowls and get some delicious breakfast.

Old school. I ate here in the 70’s and same family ownership! Great choice in classic Lavallette style! The crispy bacon and eggs over easy were perfect! Keira was just wonderful.

Nice place, nice atmosphere, service was friendly. Food on the other hand lacking. Ordered side of bacon, could barely chew it. Had the consistency of paper, thin and rough. Taste like it was in a house fire.
Scrambled Eggs tasted like they were cooked in a microwave. Over priced. I get it, on the shore.. However I Shouldn’t have to pay dinner prices for breakfast if the quality of food is sub par. I would give them another try and order something else since the service and atmosphere was very good.

The sand dollar is a Lavallette staple since the 80’s I remember going there with my grandmother. The food is always good, the service great the best thing I can say about Sand dollar is I go there often I get the same 2 or 3 things and they are always exactly how I expect them to be. Delicious.

The food was delicious! I had the French toast grilled cheese with bacon. Coffee was nice and strong. The waitress’ and busboys were friendly and attentive. We sat outside to eat which was great, we were under an umbrella and there was a nice cool breeze.
