Nice place for lunch along the C&O tow path. We stopped here for lunch on our way from Williamsport to DC. I had a grilled chicken sandwich special with chips and a soda. It was quite tasty. Nice interior. Good seating for our group. Very friendly staff. Would stop again.

Stopped here for lunch while on a family bike ride on the C&O. Burgers were excellent with fresh made patties from local beef. Only thing better than the food was the service, which was fast, friendly, and attentive. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Brunswick

The interior is old and worn, but in a charming way. It felt comfortable. As a burger place should. The service was impeccable. The young lady behind the counter couldn’t have been more cheerful or helpful. The burger itself was very good indeed. The french fries, although plentiful, were over seasoned in my opinion. They were very salty. The drinks were by the can or bottle, not fountain as I greatly prefer. I do not like having to pay full price for wanting a second drink. Overall, I like the place a lot and will definitely go back.

The best burger thus far in this area, I have recently moved to. I ordered the made to order lettuce wrap burger. It was very good. Idk if it’s an East Coast thing, but I’ve only had real lettuce wraps on the West Coast. East Coast only does half wraps, as you’ll see in my photos. It’s weird. But I asked for extra lettuce, which allowed me to fully wrap the burger. Boy, was it yummy, tho. Super good. All the ingredients were worth biting into. I wish I could give them a 4.25 star, which is a high rating, but Google doesn’t allow that. 5 stars is near impossible to get.

Over all experience wasn’t bad, service was okay and the decor is eye catching. I enjoyed my cheese fries for most part but I did not like my burger. It was hard for me to chew because the patty was kinda thick and in my opinion over cooked. I also didn’t like the way the beef smelled so that altered the taste for me. I do wish I would have tried the frozen pistachio custard instead ✨✨

This review is for the food truck parked at Monocacy brewing in Frederick(couldn’t find where to review that). So glad we passed by and finally tried these burgers!
The service number one is really good. The people are kind and get your food out to you as soon as possible.
We did two boxcar burgers, side fry and a Brussels sprouts. The burgers were perfectly cooked, pink center and were seasoned nicely. The best part was the red beet they put on it! Would have never thought to, but it worked so well and really added even more meatiness, along with freshness to the burger. One of the better burgers in Frederick.
The fries side were also really good. Crispy but not too much, soft center. Went really good with vinegar and ketchup.
The Brussel sprouts were okay. They were a little over done, and had way too much sauce on them. Also, it ended up being mostly leaves rather than like quarter/halves of the sprouts. It caused the too much sauce to just be even more over powering since it stick to each little leaf. Over all it was tasty though, I’d try to ask for less sauce next time. The pecans on it were a nice addition.
Prices were fine – and better than like five guys with the taste being 100% better. And you get to support a local business. Would definitely come back.

We had our order delivered tonight. The food was hot and delicious. My husband ordered their hotdogs. I ordered the hamburger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. We both recommend what we ordered We also ordered the onion rings – the coating was thicker than I like but I think most people would like them as well!!

Best burgers in brunswick, I recommend the boxcar all the way! I love it with pepper jack. Also, the Sriracha chicken is SO GOOD.
They also make the thickest, most delicious milk shakes. You can even mix and match the flavors!! This place is a MUST!!!!
