Inspired by our Baja beginnings, the menu features our award-winning Original Fish Tacos, plus chef-crafted tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads, all made to order with fresh, quality ingredients and your choice of protein – a variety of responsibly sourced seafood, all-natural chicken, or USDA Choice steak. The food is out of this world bursting with flavor, fresh taste, and high quality ingredients. Every person I’ve recommended Rubios to says ” do you want to go to Rubios ?” Now after previously being skeptical. I hope they’ll remain affordable and delicious as we continue to see other eateries overcharge from the increasing cost of goods. This place (and all employees) are the best. They were even kind enough to make a discontinued item I missed dearly. You can’t beat the service, atmosphere, and they just absolutely nail it in every section of what makes an outing great !!!! 12/10

Ordered two bowls that came like this. Legit three pieces of lettuce, barely any corn and overall presentation was not great. Also was missing cotija cheese on one bowl and most of the corn wasn’t exactly roasted.

The staff is always so welcoming, the service in the past 10 years we have gone there has always been fantastic. Lupe has done wonderful as its manager and is always pleasant when we are there. We go at least once a week but sometimes can’t help ourselves and go a couple times a week from time to time. I’d go more if it were closer to us we live on the opposite of town east from it’s location. Should you decide to open one on east side we’d go to both and visit more often. Deanna Wilson

We were so excited to be able to eat here! We live in Sacramento area and were super sad when the Rubio’s closed here. So we made sure that we went out of our way on our vacation to be able to stop and have some fish tacos. It had been way too long since we ate Rubio’s! Rubios steak tacos are delicious. The steak is flavorful and lean. Guacamole is included. The salsa bar has 4 or 5 different types of salsa with heat levels.

They never miss. I discovered Rubio’s from a friend elsewhere and in Bakersfield, I only go to this one. Staff is fantastic ~ truly feels inviting. Food is always to notch and prepared/packaged with care. When placing mobile orders, I’ve yet to find anything missing. One of the few places I pick up/receive my order confidently knowing everything’s there. I recommend them to anyone looking for quality, wholesome, food. Quality and value; I honestly couldn’t ask for more.
