Take out only restaurant. At the beginning, we were not expecting so much for Indian restaurant in a small town. We are not the local here but we stop nearby this town very often.
We ordered chicken vindaloo (extra spicy), samosas, paneer pakora, beef biryani, naan. Food portions is hugeeeee, very very generous compared with the price. Those paneer and briyani just half portion. Everything taste good. We are very happy about this meal from this restaurant. We would definitely order it again whenever are around. Definitely place to go for Indian food around this area
Ps. The restaurant is behind the Atlantic pub , black building beside the Atlantic’s parking. It’s a bit hard to find at night for first time order and not the local here because the restaurant sign is also dark.

We lived in Vancouver and worked in Surrey and had enjoyed LOTS of Great East Indian food. We never thought we would find the best ever here in Alexandria! But we have – at Naans by Shubi! Heaven! I did not rate “Atmosphere” because you can only do take-out for the full menu, which we are happily eating our way through.

I can’t put into words how delicious my take-out order was. I ordered their Butter Chicken (the best I’ve ever had) but I haven’t been able to get their Lamb Vindaloo out of my head… I’ve been craving it every day since I had it (3 days ago) and I’ll be going back ASAP to have something new off their menu. The rice was cooked to absolute perfection and the spices in their sauces were perfectly cooked down and SO decadent and rich. Best Indian food I’ve ever had. I would rate 10/10 if I could.

A hidden, authentic Indian gem in the heart of Alexandria (behind the Atlantic). Naans by Shubi is takeout only – would be perfect for a date night in or a meal at home with friends. I visited today for the first time for lunch. Shubi greeted me with a warm smile and friendly service. I had the butter chicken and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly spicy with a hint of just the right sweetness. Not to mention, the freshly-made naan was amazing! Highly recommended! Thanks Shubi.

Just discovered this gem. It’s hidden in the back of the Atlantic Pub. Yesterday I went for the first time. Ordered the chicken korma, with naan and plain rice. I was pleased with the generous portions. There were nice big chunks of white chicken in the sauce. Then I tasted the it… I was in heaven. I had asked for medium heat and that is exactly what I got. Finally a good Indian restaurant nearby. I will be back to try other dishes.

We have ordered take-out from Shubi’s a few times now and they simply do not disappoint! Every dish we have tried has been delicious. The Aloo Gobi, Aloo Sagg, Malai Kofta, Mango Curry with beef, Coconut Curry with chicken, Butter chicken are all excellent choices! The samosas and naans are also to die for.
