We normally have no issues with this location, but was taken aback by the rudeness of the young guy working the second window. I pointed out the fountain drink was not the correct color to be the right thing, and he responded “I can’t do anything to fix it because the machine made it that way” when the syrup just needed to be changed. He shut the window before I could request anything different.

My wife went and got us some breakfast this morning and let me just say it was horrendous. We ordered the steak egg and cheese bagels. The steak on my wife’s bagel looked like it was made 3 days ago, and the icing on the cake was that they completely forgot the steak on mine. It was clearly in a steak egg and cheese wrapping paper, but I ended up with a slice of cheese and two piles of egg on a bagel that was aged about 3 days. To say the least, I will no longer be using this McDonald’s. This was not the first time this has happened either. It’s not worth driving back to get another bagel and it’s frustrating throwing $20-30 in the trash. I am curious If there is any kind of quality check before these items go in the bag?

Last time we tried to order milkshakes the back cash worker at new salem flipped me
off and my daughter. I know the owners hold your workers to a higher standard because I have worked for them. Apparently she said she is the GM daughter or granddaughter but that’s not ok at all. That doesn’t give her the right to be rude and talk negatively to customers. I would like to speak to someone about this and she should be written up or something should come of this. Other customers saw this interaction and so did my daughter I am not happy. We come here all the time and this was uncalled. This visit was by far the worst experience and we will not be back to this location.

Also the manager didn’t even her come apologize for her actions. It just encouraged her behavior. I am appalled by this staffs behavior. I know it’s not my restaurant to run but that’s not what I want my customers to experience. As customer it really did not set well with me how the manager handle the situation. She was like I have no authority to do anything about her working her or writing me up. I was like you could make her apologize and say her behaviors wrong or send her home for the evening.

I ordered two double cheeseburgers and the new peanut butter mcflurry. Both of my burgers were just regular cheeseburgers, missing the second patty and the second piece of cheese and I went back inside with my food and receipt and told them what the issue was. All they did was put two burnt and dry pattie’s in a box and hand me that. and my mcflurry was barely halfway full and they said that’s how it’s supposed to look. I try to never go to this one since i never have good experiences but it is the closest to my house. This location just keeps getting worse over the years.

Had to use a kiosk to order. Then had to pay at the counter b/c the kiosk said cashless payment want working. Then waited 15 minutes to get our food while all the cars in the drive thru got their food quickly…

Food usually looks like it was thrown into the bag by an mlb pitcher, fries are never salted, and mobile orders are rarely ever done quickly. The workers are nice though.

We asked for a cheese burger with ketchup only. It came with onions. He wouldn’t eat it.
Also, we hate the kid me meal toys. Staff were helpful and friendly.

They put a toy in a kids chicken nugget to make it appear that it had food months ago. In December of 2025, one of the cashiers stuck up her middle finger at a customer and child for what appeared to be no reason. I recommend going to another location if you feel the urge to go to MCDs.

Worst Experience Ever at McDonald’s
This location should be ashamed of the way it treats customers. I went to buy a Happy Meal for my baby, and not only did they give me the wrong order, but when I asked for the toy for my child, they flat-out refused—even after I offered to pay for it.

The employee who took my order was extremely rude, and things only got worse when I called the store. One of the employees pretended to be the manager and absolutely refused to give me her name—completely unprofessional and dishonest behavior. When they finally put the real manager on the phone, she wasn’t any better. Instead of helping, she responded in the most dismissive way, just saying “uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh” as if my complaint meant nothing.

This is unacceptable. The staff here are rude, disrespectful, and clearly not trained in even the basics of customer service. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially when all I wanted was something as simple as a Happy Meal for my baby.

I always feel funny leaving a review for McDonald’s. The food has been the same for a very very long time so really it just comes down to each locations quality execution and service. This location has always been decent.
