I was visiting from outside the country and had a stopover to see my daughter out in Long Island. My daughter took me to Eastern Pavilion after having a great experience here previously and I can see why she recommended it!
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff are very welcoming. We felt right at home. We ordered the pork belly, eggplant, Ocean King roll, Geisha Smile roll, and the Szechuan beef soup. Every dish was very tasty and the portion sizes were very generous, which is perfect for sharing.
Our service was prompt and attentive. Our waiter, the young Wilson, was very friendly and polite. He recommended us some of the best dishes that I have in a long time.
I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Long Island.

Today, I had a good time at Eastern Pavilion and tried the new crispy rice. Everything was amazing. The food and the atmosphere were phenomenal. Wilson, did a really solid job as our server. He was friendly, professional, and made sure everything went smoothly during our visit. He greeted us quickly, got our orders right, and checked in just enough without being too much.
One thing that stood out was how attentive he was — refilled our drinks without us having to ask and made sure any special requests were taken care of. You could tell he actually cared about the experience we were having.
Overall, Wilson made the meal more enjoyable with his good attitude and reliable service. Definitely someone you’d want to have taking care of your table. Would be happy to have him as our server again.

We’ve been regulars at Eastern Pavillion for many years—for both take-out and dine-in—and we’ve been very happy with the quality and variety of the food. That is especially true after a 2021 fire led to a renovation and expanded menu with a good blend of traditional and asian fusion cuisine…we’ve tried many of the dishes and have enjoyed them all.
Today, we stopped in for lunch and tried some debut items off their new food and drink happy hour (12-6) menus that the new management (June 2025) introduced. Was too early in the day to try a Japanese Old Fashioned but we tried and loved the new Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna (and diced jalapeño on top) small plate and I had some inventive hand rolls with creative ingredients like crispy garlic and truffle cream that added just thr right amount of flavor without being overpowering.
The regular menu items were equally delicious and the service was attentive thanks to Wilson who handled our table.
If you haven’t tried EP in a while, may be worth another look. As a Google Guide I consider the negative reviews and most of the ones here predate the 2021 fire and the 2025 new management. I’ve noticed improvements in recent memory. With so many, many asian food choices in the Three Village area, we would not be repeat customers if the food was not good.

To the owners, I’m sincerely sorry for the nasty reviews. I visited on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was rather quiet. I was surprised to see how well kept and clean the restaurant was. It is evident that the owners put a lot of effort into the restaurant and its appearance. The menu has pages for American Chinese, Japanese, and traditional Sichuan dishes. I would stick with the traditional dishes in the back of the menu. Overall the food was decent and fairly priced. The sizzling beef came with a generous helping of beef, and so did the Beef with Broccoli. I am only sorry I have not visited sooner. I encourage you to try this restaurant first before you dismiss it for the online reviews.

Came in for lunch and had an excellent experience at Eastern Pavilion. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls and every single one was outstanding. By far the best sushi I’ve tried in the area! You can tell the fish was incredibly fresh and very generously portioned. You can really taste the difference in ingredients here. I also ordered a martini, which was perfectly made and very tasty with the plum wine.
Shoutout to our waiter Wilson who was very friendly and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.

The food was very good the service was good. The only issue i had was when the bill came. The prices were charged on 2 items did not match the menu prices. They did correct it but If i didnt notice we would have been overcharged by $11.
Other than that everything was very good.

I have lived in Stony Brook for over two decades and my family and I have had much experience with Chinese food dining , including numerous times at EP. I must say that Eastern Pavillion never disappoints! The quality of their food and flavors is top tier. The ambiance and comfort of the dining experience is absolutely wonderful. The wait staff is on point, courteous, professionally dressed , and attentive to their customers. We have ordered take out as well from EP- the portions are generous and the food is delicious . We had the pleasure of celebrating my daughter’s high school graduation at Eastern Pavillion this Sunday, and David Lin and his staff took great care of absolutely everything wonderfully, and did not rush us out at all! Very happy overall and we will be back !

We came to Eastern Pavilion to celebrate a 75th birthday and we couldn’t be more pleased with this beautiful restaurant. The decor was lovely and the food and drinks were amazing. What made this celebration even more special was the outstanding staff. Wilson and Selina were so friendly and attentive! We will definitely be returning soon!

My family and I have been patrons regularly here for over 30 years! We love their Chinese dishes, always fresh and hot, but we also order Sushi regularly. They always have the freshest high quality fish and ingredients and it’s always kept cold unlike some places. They have a large menu and are always willing to make adjustments for the customer as requested. They also have a bar and hot sake for those who love that. They did a remodel a few years ago and it has a fresh modern vibe.
We love to dine in but takeout is great too. You can sit at the sushi bar, table or booth and there is a quaint area outside with a waterfall and fishpond. We have sat at the very large round table when we were a big group. We had a graduation party in one of 2 party rooms upstairs and the huge sushi boat that they made was a work of art! All of the other dishes were loved as well. Parking is never a problem either.
Whoever left that nasty review must be wanting to steer business to another local restaurant. Every restaurant can have a hiccup on occasion but trust me I’m confident you will enjoy this restaurant run by Mark and his family!!
