Following a funeral, my family enjoyed a celebration of life at Goldie’s BBQ at the request of the estate. Being from another state and also not a fan of BBQ, I was a bit concerned about what I could eat. I decided on a sausage plate with French fries and potato salad! MAN! Was I surprised!!!
The sausage was smothered in BBQ SAUCE! it was REALLY good!!! The potato salad was mouthwatering! I could’ve licked the bowl had there been one! The fries were pretty normal, but disappeared, all the same!
The service was great but extremely slow. However, our party had reserved the private room and had approximately 40 people in attendance. It is my assumption that the restaurant would’ve brought in extra help to attend to the private party, but it definitely didn’t seem like it had.
The restaurant side didn’t seem too busy, but I’m sure our large party slowed the kitchen down! Either way, they knocked it out of the park! The portions were quite sizable and several people went home with doggie bags! I don’t think anyone was too disappointed!

service was great! our server was so nice and it wasn’t busy at all when we went, which was a plus. food was pretty good. I got a pulled pork sandwich with fries, and my husband got a plate with pork and sausage. the seasoned fries could’ve used more seasoning honestly, but overall a great experience! (:

Delicious food and outstanding service. Sally, Marlena and their team are the best. Kitchen knows what they are doing! We loved the dry pork ribs, beef, sausage and coleslaw. Ice tea best I ever had.

A down home local diner atmosphere and friendly server. That’s where the good ends. I ordered a large sliced pork platter (2/28/25). What I got was a couple small slices, and a pile of ground up bits, AND IT WAS COLD!! I asked that it be heated, it came back lukewarm, and tasteless. It was, by far, the worst BBQ I’ve ever endured, and I couldn’t even finish it. I wouldn’t even give the leftovers to my dogs. The checkout lady didn’t ask how my meal was, and I suspect she already knew. The next day, my regret was even more powerful. DO-NOT-EAT-HERE!!!
