Garlic cheese bread was crispy and soft! Both sauces pair amazing with it!
The pies were crispy and soft crust perfect amount of dough, the seasoning had a great balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings! Baklava to top it off was a must have! It was soft and creamy tasted like chocolate cereal, wasn’t too heavy!
For my kids, just a small cheese pizza with black olives. They were some very happy campers with their classic 🙂
For the grown ups, I ordered The Whole Block as a Chicago Pie. Man, oh man. It was delicious and this photo does not do it justice. Do not let my picture discourage you from trying a Chicago style pie.
I like right around the corner and the pizza arrived about 10 minutes after the estimated delivery time but was the perfect temperature to dive right into. It was juicy, flavorful and every bite was just as good as the first one. 10/10 recommend.
This meal would be perfect to feed about 4-6 people and I would encourage you to dine in at the restaurant. To go was fine, but I imagine that with food this good – the dining atmosphere/experience would have been just as good. So I’m looking forward to having a family lunch here sometime soon!!
For dessert, we tried the Tres Leches, which was lighter than your usual version, and the sauce on top was rich and creamy. You could really tell it was homemade, so fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely be getting it again next time.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. It didn’t feel like a typical pizza spot, more like a neighborhood place where everyone knows you. The chef even stopped by our table to check on us, which really showed how much they care about what they do. I really hope they keep up the same vibe. Highly recommend!
I ordered the lunch special with drink and a slice of tiramisu.
I walk in and looked at a flier that said “$7.99 lunch special, 2 slices with drink”.
First thing I asked was are the pizza slices pre-made or made to order as I was on my lunch break.
She tells me they are made from a large pizza and just have to be heated up then proceeds to ask what toppings would I like?
So I clarify and ask, are the pizzas premade or made to order and about how long does it take? She says about 4 minutes. So I proceed with ordering.
Then I ask what are the topping options? She says “pretty much anything”. I asked “how many are included?” She says “up to 3.”
This would lead any reasonable person to believe this is a part of the lunch special. It is my first time patronizing their establishment after all.
Order came out to $24 I ask why, she says each topping is $0.70.
I’m like ma’am…ummm you probably should have led with that don’t you think??
She also almost forgot my drink and had to be reminded to give me a fork for my slice of cake.
Interior is cute, modern and clean, only one other older couple was there when I visited.
But she needs to learn to better to communicate with asked pointed questions.
Sweet tea wasn’t that great but the pizza was really good. Large slices for the price.
