Our favourite dining experience on the island. Bailey’s was highly commended by others we spoke to, rightfully so.

The food was outstanding. Eye fillets delicious, chicken supreme great – especially the pumpkin and cauliflower, but the star of the show was the dessert – the chocolate fondant (what we like to call lava cake). Soo tasty, chocolate just oozed out the centre (as it should do!) and was just overwhelmingly amazing. Will definitely be thinking about it for the entirety of the new year .

It was pricey, though, our most expensive dinner, but it’s island prices. Besides, you pay for the quality.

Staff didn’t look too happy and it was quite warm inside. Otherwise, Bailey’s is a must visit when on Norfolk Island .

Fabulous food and staff, we started with cocktail happy hour celebrating my birthday. The waiters were fun and very helpful and even bought out my dessert decorated with happy birthday in chocolate sauce. The food was delicious. Great evening at Baileys Restaurant.

We had a really enjoyable experience dining here. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and comfortable. Most of the food was very good, and you can tell the kitchen puts effort into freshness and flavour.

A couple of the meals didn’t quite hit the mark, but the garlic prawns were the absolute standout — perfectly cooked, packed with flavour, and easily the highlight of the night. They alone are worth coming back for!

Overall, a positive dining experience with great service and plenty of delicious options. We’d happily return, especially for those garlic prawns!

We had no choice but to dine here late at night as everything else was closed — and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. After a long wait, we were served cold steak, something I’ve never experienced before. The restaurant offered a complimentary steak worth $52 to make up for it, but even that was cold.
Service was inattentive, and we felt completely ignored. Despite the poor experience, we still paid $185.75 AUD and left unsatisfied. Definitely not worth the money or the time. I won’t be returning there for another dining experience.

We went to Bailey’s on our last night on the island. Having made a reservation we were seen straight to our table and our drinks and dinner order were taken quickly by the friendly wait staff. Unfortunately, an hour later we were still waiting for our dinner to arrive – which it did shortly after my husband pointed out how long we’d be waiting. Once it arrived though our meals were superb. My chicken breast was succulent, as was my husband’s lamb and the servings were generous, there was definitely no room for dessert! I would recommend Bailey’s just be prepared for a possible wait.

We went to Bailey’s restaurant a few time over the last week, we started at the bar which had happy hour for cocktails that were made to perfection. They even made a mocktail for our little man who absolutely loved it. The bar was well presented and looked beautiful as did the rest of the restaurant, then went to our table where we were given a complimentary amuse-bouche (palate cleanser) before our meal, this was a lovely surprise and very delicious. All our meals were delicious and of high-quality foods, the staff were super friendly and very attentive, and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
We highly recommend Baileys Restaurant to those who want great food and the best service, we recommend trying the home-made potato ricotta gnocchi for your entrée as this was one of our favourites.
We can’t wait to come back to the Island and will definitely be dinning back at Baileys Restaurant

Bailey’s Restaurant is an absolute gem in Burnt Pine! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance. The interior is beautifully decorated, balancing modern elegance with cozy charm, making you feel right at home.
The menu is a culinary delight, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to every palate. The seafood is particularly outstanding, with the freshness that only a location like Norfolk Island can provide. I highly recommend the grilled barramundi—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Their vegetarian options are equally impressive and thoughtfully prepared.
The service is impeccable. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable dining experience.
Don’t forget to try their homemade desserts! The chocolate lava cake is a decadent treat that is the perfect end to a fabulous meal.
Bailey’s offers a dining experience that is both exquisite and heartwarming. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this restaurant is a must-visit.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bailey’s Restaurant for dinner. Service was excellent and friendly. I had the seafood pappadelle which was absolutely delicious and a huge serving. My husband had the lamb backstrap. It was very tasty but it was a small serving, but we had been warned by the waitress to order some sides, which we did. Overall, we had a lovely meal here and would highly recommend. I would suggest a booking beforehand as they were very busy and the restaurant was almost full. We also felt it was reasonably priced including the wine list.
