Hands down it’s a small restaurant and not what I expected but this place was a 10. Service and did was great and prices were very reasonable. You get a free sample of charro beans, and combo plate with a baked pot all under $9.00.

We got the steak tacos and the steak lonches with a baked potato combo. The tacos were excellent and the lonches were good but the bread was sweeter than I expected. The baked potato was good and a nice size but I wish they had melted the cheese and used more butter. The limon drink was good but then melon was excellent. The staff was very nice and only spoke Spanish but patiently worked through our limited Spanish.

First time eating here, I went to have lunch with my mom, the place is located on the Main Street of Mercedes. The place is cozy and was very clean. The environment is very Mexicano, decorative chalupa cards on the walls. The waitress was very nice and patient, they serve can sodas and Mexican glass Coke. Food was great, I got a mix order of tacos and lonches (bistek). I had put salsa on mine . Will return in the future with the my dad and whole family.

I was skeptical walking in. Mexican Loteria decorations everywhere. We sat down and there was 1 waitress and she was busy but she was still attentive and kind. Food arrived and omg soooo delicious!!!!!

I tried this place for the first time last week through recommendation. I ordered some taco combo and birria tacos. Let me start by saying that they need people to answer phone with more professionalism, it is a business. Had a bad experience with birria tacos , almost choked with pieces of rubber bands that were cut in with cilantro. I called to speak with manager but had left( that’s what I was told) lady was very rude , didn’t really seem to care, so I just hanged up. They have lost a customer.

TA-Co-MADRE combos are on spot and you don’t have to go to Mexico to get a great meal. in mex you only get a loaded potato or lunches/(tacos) for about $8. No free beans Rrr… At ta-co-madre you get all three and a drink and free beans(so good)mmm… For about the same price.
