A wonderful Mediterranean restaurant in Ajijic. The menu blends Greek and Arabic flavors beautifully, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. The spices, herbs, and ingredients are perfectly balanced, creating dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a quiet meal. Definitely a hidden gem in Ajijic. Highly recommended.

We have been to this restaurant twice now and we have liked it both times. I have had the Paloma taco with salad both times, and it was very good. Their homemade salad dressing is wonderful. The Falafels are also wonderful. They will accommodate dietary restrictions. The service is great and friendly and they speak English. Highly recommend this place for very good Arabic food.

Tonight we had a wonderful dinner out at the newest addition to our eclectic restaurants..We went to Unico which is in the old Torcello location next to Cafe Negro. We were greeted by a very welcoming attentive staff that explained menu items. I got a favorite of mine the Falafel which was delicious, not dried out and overcooked like some, seasoned just right with a nice sauce and warm Pitas, Mom Got the Ceaser Salad which Mom said was Delicious. Aggie got a Greek salad that was huge. Lettuce was fresh and crisp. I got the Arabic Tacos which were delicious Seasond meat and cheese in Pitas. Mom got the Pistachio Pasta which she absolutely loved. Aggie got the Pasta Arribiatta which her being Italian she’s a tough judge, she loved hers as well. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Service was fabulous as well as the ambience. They have some neat dishes even Kafta. They will have full menus hopefully tomorrow as this was day 1. They will have pastas, seafood and even Pizzas.

We had lunch at Unicó today and we are so glad we did. They have 2 menus, an Arabic menu featuring falafel, grape leaves and Kamellos (their take on shawarma). I had the Kamellos Especial and my husband had the Kamellos Burrito. Both came with a fresh salad with an amazing salad dressing. The other menu has a more Italian style with mussels, salads, pastas, seafood and more. I can’t wait to try more options from both menus!

Happy to offer my recommendation for Unico Restaurant. We both had the Tacos Árabes and they were DELICIOUS! The dressing on the accompanying salad was also a hit.
Pro tip: Be sure to try the house tequila. It’s sourced directly, a smooth reposado that doesn’t disappoint.
We’re looking forward to try the Italian side of the menu on our next visit!
