Luigi’s D’ Italia

Social Profile:

Luigi’s D’ Italia began with Dominic and his two sons Luigi and Tony in 1981, at a small restaurant in a strip mall in Anaheim. Luigi did the cooking, using recipes he learned from his mom, while Tony made the pizzas, and Dominic greeted guests with some complimentary wine. In 1991 we moved to a bigger location on State College Boulevard and after over 25 years, we decided to downsize and moved to our new location here in Fullerton. It is now run by Luigi and his family, still serving the same recipes we hope you’ll love.

Family-friendly eatery serving homestyle Italian fare including scampi, veal & manicotti.

We feel so lucky to have this pasta place in our neighborhood. I think owner is cooking, the food is absolutely incredible. It honestly tastes like heaven. You can really tell how much care and passion goes into every dish. The flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced.

On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, and generous portion which makes it even better because we can come often without feeling guilty. My son absolutely loves this place. He always the one asking if we can go back. If a kid keeps asking to return, you know it’s truly special.

Living near such an amazing pasta spot is honestly one of the best perks of living in this neighborhood. We’re so happy it’s here and hope it stays for a long, long time.

The food here is amazing. The pizza is light but flavorful, and the pasta is delicious. My family gets food catered here whenever we have a family event and it is always a hit. The tortellini d Angelo is one of my favorite dishes to get. Would much rather come here than Olive Garden for when i crave Italian food

The food is fantastic. Great service. They really improved after Chef Gordon Ramsay helped them in Kitchen Nightmares. The new location is smaller than the last one but this is much better. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity when the mom took my order.

When you Google Luigi’s, you may find some pics of a restaurant with red leather booths that looks very nice so when you get to the actual restaurant, you may be surprised that it is very small and there are no booths. This is because there are still pics of their old location out there but the new location is much smaller and very casual. However, don’t let this stop you from giving them a try because the food is still very good and everything is very fresh and the owner will work very hard to make sure you are happy! Be sure to save room for dessert as the cannoli dipped in chocolate chips and the rum cake are delicious!!

This is probably a well kept secret Italian restaurant that people local to the place don’t want you to know about. Because it’s really really good.

Nestled in a strip mall next to a grocery store and some other dining establishments you wouldn’t know about it unless you googled or Yelp it. We were over at Brea Mall and the kids wanted Italian food for late lunch/early dinner. So off goes my wife to search for Italian restaurants in the area.

We pulled up walked in and it’s pretty no nonsense. There’s about 6 or so tables inside and a few outside, looked at the menu and it wasn’t crazy loaded with dishes which for some can be a problem deciding what to order.

Here’s what we ordered 2 adults 3 kids:
Kid1: Margherita pizza (small about 4 slices)
Kid 2: Italian sub
Kid3: linguini with clams in a red sauce
Wife: cheese ravioli
Me: Italian spicy meat pizza (medium)

After we ordered we were given complimentary cheese garlic bread. Amazing, we destroyed it quickly

Shortly after, came our order. Portions were generous but not overly abundant as we stuffed ourselves with the garlic bread it was perfect.

Wife’s ravioli sauce was spectacular, rich hearty and herbaceous. My wife normally never finishes her entree and usually takes home the rest to eat later, nope not today she cleaned it.

Son’s linguini and clams was equally rich and thick full of little clams and you can see chunks of garlic. He powered that down and normally would eat anyone’s food if they couldn’t finish it, not this time he was stuffed. For a 16 yo to say that you know the portions were just good right for that growing boy.

Daughter 1 equally finished her pizza and daughter 2 couldn’t finish her sun because of the garlic bread she chowed down prior.

My pizza was great as well loaded with slices of Italian sausages and the crust was thin crust (the way I like it). I managed to eat all but two slices which I’m looking forward to eating later.

All in all great dining experience and loved the fact that it was a casual sit down restaurant with no frills just good quality Italian food.

Local Fullertonites don’t be mad i have to share this great place.

Since I’m a local, we wanted to try out this place ever since watching one Kitchen Nightmares episode. The lady and the sons appear to be running the business still. My spouse and I got alfredo linguine with clams and luigi’s special pizza. We finished the pasta so quick as the pasta cream was delicious and creamy, not too salty but a perfect balance. Pasta was not overcooked or too undercooked; it had the perfect al dante texture. Pizza was fresh, right amount of dough, not too cheesy. Everything was cooked to order. Service was great-10/10 would recommend the place and we will come back again for the lunch special!

Best Italian food in town. We used to go to their old location in Anaheim. I’m so happy I found them again.

This is my 20 year old daughter’s favorite restaurant. Her grandparents used to take her to the restaurant when it was in Anaheim and now she makes me drive to Fullerton whenever we have special occasion or just on a whim. Her favorite dish is the Tortellini D’Angelo and mine is the Fetuccine Dellacasa. We went there recently and the food was especially fresh and delicious. Their current location is small with no frills but there is usually a table available.

I spend my money on a Uber eats order from this place for my Italian boyfriend, which I was trying to surprise with some good Italian desserts, but unfortunately we were both disappointed and the quality of the food was not even close to how a Italian restaurant should be. I order 2 cannolis which they were old, not fresh and the cream had a really weird taste. I also order a Tiramisu which came with a weird liquid inside. The tiramisu was a mess, not presentable at all and with a displeasuring taste… The way that you expect a tiramisu to taste was definitely not like that one.
If I could, I will definitely give this place a “0” stars. Absolutely never ordering from here again and I will not recommend this place if you’re looking to taste some good dessert that can hopefully remind you at home (Italy).
