I Love this eclectic spot. With a creative menu (try your latte with a kick of cayenne) and comfy furniture, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a Black Bear latte. Marbles was friendly and helpful. We only had special lattes, but there were great food choices, as well. If you’re in Mt Pleasant, don’t miss this gem.

Good morning from Jo’s. I’m new to Mount Pleasant and this feels like home. I come every day to work. The baristas and drinks are top notch, the WiFi solid, and the casual conversations are the type that could start friendships.

Updating my review to mention that you can get the specialty drinks made sugar free. I didn’t even think how much sugar I was drinking in the morning, the taste is slightly different without sugar but still amazing. Glad I’m making the switch to remove added sugars from my drinks where I can!
Also, the staff here continues to impress not just with their expected coffee shop service, but their positive outlook on life is happily contagious.
Update 2.5+ years later. Some staff changes, some new drinks, still 100% my favorite part of Mount Pleasant.

I needed a place to do some work on my computer. After searching on Google maps, found this cute coffee shop. I had my pup with me and upon walking in I was greeted with such kindness and enthusiasm. (And not just for having my pup) I’m one of those who looks at the reviews before trying a place, so I felt I had to share my AMAZING experience. The food is yummy and coffee is amazing (I had their pumpkin latte with white chocolate—SO GOOD) I can’t wait to come here again, thank you to Hailey, and all the staff!!

Love this place. I travel and spend a lot of time and money on coffee shops. Some have great coffee, others great atmosphere, but hard to find one that has both. This one is very chill with the right type and volume of music good for doing computer work. Plenty of places to spread out or hang out with friends. One of a select number of coffee shops I drive out of my way for if I need to be there for a while’.

I was really desperate for a coffee on our drive to Dallas, and a quick Yelp search turned up this place! We hopped off the highway and made our way to the cute downtown and managed to find a parking spot fairly easily.
Inside, a spacious and airy coffeeshop awaited us. Lots of space to work on laptops or settle down and read, and several people were doing just that. I walked up to the counter and ordered an iced Lumberjack, a “mocha with a twist.”
Service was maybe a touch surly but they were certainly working efficiently, as my drink came out to me quickly. It was pretty good — I got both the mocha flavor and the hint of spice. Personally, I could’ve used just a little bit more ice and just a little bit more mocha, but I still definitely enjoyed my drink.
A nice stop that perfectly met a need for caffeine! Thanks, Jo’s!

This place is absolutely amazing! The baristas were knowledgeable and really fun to talk to. I got the recommendation to try the Bloomer which is a seasonal lavender coffee and oh my was it good. I was sad when it was gone. They told me the syrups were made in house and you can definitely tell the quality difference. So skip the chain place and run straight here!

Happy to see MP has an independent coffee shop, on the square no less. Very comfortable accommodations with lots of seating. Has a hybrid funky/vintage feel to it. The barista who made my chai latte (which was *excellent*) was wonderful. I can vouch for the chai latte made from concentrate with coconut milk. Overall, great shop with great service. Highly recommend.
