Sweet little restaurant with a lovely take on Burmese food. Curries, salads, lassis and more.

We shared the signature pea shoot salad, which was delicious. And then had a lunch special of spicy noodles with salad, and the chickpea tofu with garlic chili sauce. Truth, all the sauces tasted the same to me, and they were delicious. Top it off with a mango-ginger lassi and you’ll be satisfyingly full.

One of the best vegan meals I’ve ever eaten! Tea leaf kale salad, basil cumin chickpea tofu, and coconut veggie curry were all fresh and flavorful. Tamarind cooler and mango ginger lassi were a fine complement. Highly recommend!!

The food was really flavourful and delicious. The portion sizes were a little bit small but not too bad, I would not hold it against them. I ordered the spicy shrimp noodles, basil cumin chicken and coconut rice.

We weren’t pleased with the food we had… 5 overcooked shrimp and a piece of roti (Shrimp skillet for $18). The “sauce” was non existent and was just burnt into the the skillet. I had to pour some of my drinking water into the skillet to kind of rehydrate whatever what was in the skillet. The curry lamb was just bland curry. I liked the coconut rice, but it was VERY sweet, almost too sweet. We were told the portion sizes were enough for 2 people, but I disagree. We didn’t finish the curry, it wasn’t good and we left hungry. To spend almost $60, and still be hungry… diabolical… I wanted to give more stars, but I also wanted to be honest about our experience. The cocktail menu names were really cute though, especially if you’re an anime or Studio Ghibli fan.

The food was pretty good but a bit pricy for a lunch. The tea leaf kale salad was great and the basil cumin pork belly was good. The coconut curry was too sweet for my taste. The service was poor, we waited 45 minutes for the check and we were only 1 of 2 tables eating at the time.

I really like every dish I ordered. The pea sprout salad is light and perfectly balanced. The roti curry sauce is the best in its kind. The other 2 dishes also have masterfully blended sauces. A solid 5 star with no doubt. Will definitely go back.

Calming ambiance | Delicious food | Great service

Best Burmese food in the East Bay! Food arrived quick, great portions too! The lamb curry had us licking our fingers and it was at least 4 servings. The Pea Shoot salad was so refreshing on a summer afternoon!

Need to try all their other dishes too, as the flavors were spot on.

Started with the bread and shared a mouth watering, super fresh pea shoot salad. Shared the lamb curry and baby boy chop with shrimp and mushrooms. Both with interesting flavors. We both over ate, as everything was delectable.

We enjoyed crispy fried fish and chicken cardamom curry, plus the kale fermented tea leaves salad with coconut rice and roti. All were fabulous! Highly recommended for unique flavorful dining. Only the fried fish had a spicy sauce; the other dishes were mildly spiced.

The food here is honestly really bland. The roti and curry is good, but most of the other dishes lack strong flavor or spice. I would categorize this as “white people food” but not authentic imo. I really don’t get the hype – you can get equivalent food from dozens of other restaurants in Oakland
