OMG! What a gem! The food was amazing, the margarita was delicious, and the owners are so sweet and genuine. What a delight to have this business in New Market! I enjoyed the quesabirrias while the hubs had the carnitas. My table shared an order of their housemade guac as well as finishing with their churros. We will be back for sure!

What a great place! Loved the authentic Mexican fares, so many to choose from I got a combo and everything on it was delicious. My daughter and I splurged and got a fried ice cream and it was definitely big enough for two. Incredible prices as well, very affordable. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went here yesterday for the first time.
The atmosphere was nice, it was clean and cozy.
The lady that served us was so sweet and checked in multiple times.
Then we got the best Mexican food we’ve had since moving to MN.
It was delicious!
Even as leftovers (because my burrito was so big) it still tasted great!
We will definitely be back and will bring our kids next time too!

Stopped in for a take out order. The service was great, they gave me a menu to look at and were helpful if I had any questions. It took about 15 minutes for my order to get made. They have WiFi in the restaurant.

I payed $23.30 and got 3 quesabirria tacos, with rice and beans. 3 steak tacos. Order came with chips and salsa as well. Extremely fairly priced in my opinion.
Steak street tacos are good. Didn’t get a salsa verde with them but I also didn’t ask. Tastes perfectly fine without any sauce. They are a little salty but I think that a what made me like it without a sauce. The salsa served with the chips was good, it was on the mild side. Quesabirria tacos are phenomenal, not dry which can happen at some restaurants. The rice is amazing, good flavor to it. The beans taste like beans (I’m impartial). The consomé I think is the perfect size, at a different restaurant it’s a bigger one and then you just get left with a lot left over. This is perfect.

I didn’t get any drinks just because I did a take out order. I will very likely be back to sit down and try some more. Overall I would absolutely recommend the food is great.

This place was AMAZING! Great food that came out fast. Our waiter was helpful & made sure everything came out exactly as we ordered it. He made me one of the best bloody marys I have ever had. Highly recommend!!

Third time my family has been here—this is the best Mexican restraint south of the cities. We’ve ordered something different each time and everything is always amazing—the queso, the homemade salsa, the fresh locally made tortillas… I ordered the steak fajitas this time to split with my kid. Delish! Also, the staff/owners go above and beyond in customer service.

I highly recommend Alberta’s! The food was super flavorful, great quality and it’s true authentic Mexican food. It’s a family-owned restaurant and the family is so very kind and cared a lot about our experience while there.

The food was amazing, the beers were tall and the margarita needed 2 hands! Such a lovely, authentic, family owned restaurant. Thanks for a great experience with a full house on a Saturday night!

We were really excited to try a new spot in Elko New Market. Looked promising.
We drove 30 minutes to get there and here’s what we found on a Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Two employees, our waiter was great. Great!
We were one of two tables and it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive. The first salsa was about 3 oz we asked for a second one and were charged $3.
I also asked for a red salsa and was charged $1.10. Pico de Gallo was outstanding, 5$, yep. Buyer beware.
The chicken tinga was dry at best, the shredded beef ( barbacoa) was good but not great, also tried the pork al pastor, very flavorful, but hardly any meat. The portions of the lunch special entrees were small, Really Small.
The rice was completely forgettable, the beans were soupy. Really not much food for $14. (Lunch Special)
The atmosphere was horrible, please read on. Drab Florescent lighting above. Here’s the biggie, at the exact same time they had ESPN on one television with the volume loud, they had a Disney movie on another tv with volume way up, and at the same time, they had a soundtrack of mariachi music over the loudspeakers. What the heck am I supposed to listen to? No conversation possible, really irritating.
Who’s in charge, and why is that ok?
Finally they had a flashing, rotating light at the bar (police like) which was flashing constantly over the entire dining room. Who is in charge?
Anyway, NEVER COMING BACK!!
Elko New Market has no other options, so the local folks go here. Sorry for you.
Suggestion: spend the gas money.
GO FIND BETTER.
Don’t settle for Alberta’s.

I received a reply from Alberto’s Mexican Restaurant that was completely written by Chat GPT and AI. Total fake. You think the owner actually cared?…NO! somebody just pressed a button. There is zero chance the owner actually wrote that reply…0.
Truly sad. But hey Elko New Market,
You can drive to get better or you can settle for Alberta’s

We tried this restaurant for the first time today after some friends raved about how good it is. I had street tacos while my wife had the chimichanga. It was clearly evident that everything here is fresh from the best ingredients. The red sauce may be the best I’ve ever eaten.

The atmosphere is simple and comfortable.

This is not a place to check out because it is close-by, it’s a place to drive down to if you like fresh quality Mexican foods!
