This not for profit restaurant and farmstead was worth every penny we spent. The selection was greater than expected. The food was just down right fantastic. Quinoa breakfast bowl, the quiche of the day, the breakfast burrito and the better burger were all delicious. The people were buying prepared meals as fast as they were made. As a side the rosemary potatoes were 5 stars.

Absolutely blown out of the water with the experience I had here!! 12/10 recommend!! The food is incredible! I had the Pesto chicken sandwich. My sister and I shared a sweet potato pancake and it was soooo delicious! The service was great! Met the owner! Just absolutely here for the mission and everything this place represents! Do yourself a favor and visit this place!

I pop in a couple times a week for coffee to go. It’s never a long wait and always very good.
The days I have more leisure I love to get their food, the sweet potato pancake to be exact and have my latter in a mug.
Everything on the menu is tasty and made with love.

A nonprofit café‑restaurant in a restored greenhouse with community gardens. I loved the pork quinoa bowl and French toast bread pudding. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtful. Staff were friendly, passionate, and explained the farm‑to‑table concept. Great ambience, good for brunch or lunch.

Neat place for breakfast. Had some different items on the menu. Had the quinoa bowl with chorizo which was tasty. Their sausage was excellent because it had no grease. Service was very good. Specialty drinks good but a little pricey.

Great food, service and environment. The breakfast burritos were so flavorful (I had a vegetarian burrito with sweet potato and feta which was a delicious combination). The environment is relaxed with great murals on the wall. There is a nice variety of coffee and tea drinks.

Decided to check Convivium out for lunch. Heard a lot of great things they are doing for the community and wanted to support their efforts.
My wife and I enjoyed our coffee options and both of our food options.
Our server was great and explained everything they have going on.
We walked around the property to check it out while our lunch was being made. Nice setup they have and a lot bigger than I thought.
Food didn’t take long at all.
Look forward to checking out more of their menu.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great menu & servers. I’m celiac and had the sweet potatoe pancake with eggs. Hubs had their home made granola & toast. Everything was delicious. It’s a former greenhouse. Proceeds go to and excellent cause. We will absolutely be back!

We spent a weekend in Dubuque and were really looking forward to brunch here after researching it — I loved the concept and mission. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We were promptly seated but then ignored while tables around us were cleared and guests who arrived after us were served.
After about 15 minutes, I had to walk up to the coffee bar to order drinks myself. Even then, other people’s drinks were made before mine. I mentioned to staff (three separate times) that we weren’t being served while others who came after us were — yet nothing changed. Eventually, I brought the drinks back to our table, but after another 15 minutes of being overlooked while others were attended to, we decided not to stay for food.
Despite raising the issue multiple times, we never received an apology or acknowledgment. The concept is wonderful, but the service experience fell far short.

Really liked the vibe and the concept of the whole place – really cool! Soup of the day and sandwich was also pretty good (best cheese I’ve had ever). One thing is that the service did take a while, and they forgot a couple of things. The servers were super nice about everything though.
