I heard a lot about this place so finally gave it a try and boy was O disappointed.

For starters, they left out the hot and sour soup I ordered. The egg roll was soft, mushy and soggy.

Cashew chicken was bland. No spice and only flavor was salt from soy sauce. What made it gross was there wasn’t a sauce, but a liquid the chicken was in.

40+ years eating Chinese food and this was as bad an experience as I ever had. Stay away!

I got several items this time and they were all great.

– The roast pork fried rice was definitely above average, which says a lot considering how good pork fried rice usually is. The pork was significantly larger than you would normally get (probably 3-4x) and was very juicy.

– The moo shoo pork was alright individually but really comes together. They come with some thin tortillas (which they call pancakes, for some reason) and some sort of brown sauce. I basically made a Chinese burrito by wrapping the pork/veggies, brown rice, and the brown sauce in a tortilla. It tastes great but it tends to break up easily and let out the juices, so expect a bit of a mess.

– The crab rangoon was the type that is good by itself and should probably be eaten with a minimal amount of sweet and sour sauce (to keep it from overpowering the rest of the flavor).

– It came with what seems to be some house-made sauces: a really concentrated spicy mustard and a sweet sauce (duck sauce?).

– It also came with the usual: a couple fortune cookies, a couple packets of soy sauce.

Edit (2025-11-22):
The Tofu Pad Thai was reasonably good. There wasn’ anything especially standout about it but it holds up to Pad Thai that you might get from a Thai restaurant. It didn’t have all the fixings (ie bean sprouts), which I usually don’t order anyways, and the tofu was your typical fried tofu.

Edit (2025-11-23):
The Tonkatsu Ramen was pretty good, especially the pork. The soup had a great flavor and everything was cooked well. I wasn’t a big fan of the menma (fermented bamboo) but that was just personal preference, not the quality of the food.

I also had the fried chicken Dumplings and the sauce that went with them was top notch. The Dumplings themselves are a little small but it is a reasonable amount of food for the price.

Edit (2025-12-14):
The Vegetable Egg Foo Young was more watery / less oily than expected (vs Pork Egg Foo Young I have ordered at other restaurants). The gravy was the best out of all the restaurants I have tried.

The edemame tasted good but isn’t really for me, as it was served with shell.

Edit (2026-1-4):
The Boneless Ribs were good but a bit pricy for what you get. That being said, it is a decent sized portion (even with the “small” size) so it isn’t that bad of a deal.

The cold sesame noodles were great. The peanut sauce was great, both in flavor and consistency. I do have to wonder if the flavor could be even better if it was served hot instead but I’m guessing the sauce would get too thin to stick to the noodles.

Edit (2026-1-17):
The mixed veggies with black bean sauce was okay. The sauce itself was good, just not a fan of some of the veggies (ie baby corn). It probably would have been better to get the Roast Pork with black bean sauce.

I wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars but simply could not. First the girl working the counter lacks social and customer service skills and had a look on her face that she wanted to be anywhere else. In respect to the food I ordered General Tso chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The General Tso was very chewy and I felt it was low quality chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was better but still overall average. It was disappointing because I had heard so much about this place and the prices were pretty high which I understand given their plaza location. However, based on the price paid the food was very average and disappointing overall. I will say their portions are very big though. My search for the best Chinese food in Boca Raton continues.

My mom and I went into Lisa’s Kitchen last night and ordered some Chinese food to go for our family. The owner, Johnnie, helped us. He is the sweetest and he spent so much time with my mom and I, patiently and happily going over many of the items on their menu! He helped us make the perfect selections! We had Honey Garlic Chicken, Egg Foo Young, Schzuwan Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, Pork and Vegetable Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and Wonton Soup. The restaurant is extremely clean on the inside! The food was made quickly for us, so we didn’t have to wait long. Everything was packaged very neatly! The food was still very hot and fresh when we got home 25 min later. Dinner was delicious!!!! Best authentic and fresh Chinese in Boca Raton! My mom and dad loved their dinner to! Thank you, Johnnie and the Lisa’s Kitchen team!

I ordered for the first time and it will be my last. General chicken was like eating leather. I couldn’t even chew it. The fried rice was dry as a bone with old pork pieces in it which tasted like card board. They don’t even give you a little bag of noodles. I tossed the whole thing in the trash. What a disappointment. How could the good reviews be so wrong.

Just found out about this great place. Just wanted a snack, so ordered the Wontons in Spicy Sauce appetizer, an excellent value for $8.25. I was greeted by Johnny with a warm smile and a big “Hello!”. The wontons were delicious, generous filling in nicely textured wraps. The sauce was great, with a BBQ flavor that was elegantly spiced, just the right amount of spicy for my taste, and subtly sweet. This is not your average Chinese/Thai takeout joint! Johnny proudly spoke of their dedication to fresh ingredients and an elegant style of preparation & presentation. I was especially pleased to see Chow Fun on the menu – one of my favorites but difficult to find nowadays. I’ll definitely be back for that, and more.

I’m not sure if this place has new owners or not but we use to order from here when we lived in central Boca. I picked up food from here today for the first time in over a year and I have to say it was all pretty bad. The orange chicken and honey garlic chicken were very tough, I threw mine in the garbage. The pepper steak was just ok. Egg rolls, and chicken fried rice were fine but certainly not worth the $128 I spent. I won’t be back

Ordered here yesterday 1/29/26. I have not ordered since before the new ownership. First of all, the delivery alone has completely destroyed any hopes that I would order again in the future. When the delivery driver delivered my food, he has what appeared to be fresh blood on his fingers.. ON THE SAME HAND HE WAS HANDLING THE BAG OF FOOD WITH. It was absolutely disgusting and a waste of $55! I called today 1/30/26 and spoke with the alleged owner who was very rude and dismissive. Scolded me for not taking a picture of the drivers bloody hand. I wasn’t aware that it was a requirement to have a camera on hand at the door while food is being delivered. Don’t go here. It’s certainly not worth the risk.

Nice, clean restaurant, and friendly, inviting staff. Food was good and very generous portions. Also, the owners included and invite for their customers to join them for a congratulatory lunch for their son as he heads off to college. Very thoughtful and a nice way to celebrate his achievements. We congratulate him! We are very pleased with our first visit and will return.

Definitely one of the best Chinese take out restaurants in the area. Only take out & delivery.

I ordered the Szechuan Shrimp, combination dinner. Nice portion with red and green peppers, celery, and onions.
Comes with a choice of fried or white rice or you can get brown rice for $1 more.
Also a choice of 2 of the following: Egg Roll, Garden Salad, Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup, Mixed Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, or Spring Roll +$1.00.

My wife only wanted Egg Drop Soup.

The food was very good and definitely will return.
