I had no clue this McKinney location opened last week, and me and my family kept wondering when it would open as we had to drive a little further to the south McKinney location on Stacy Road. This one is a little closer and more conveniently located in a busier bustling area of McKinney on Hardin road by all the entertainment! We always wanted one on Highway 380/University drive in McKinney and this is close enough! Me and my family were anxiously waiting for this location to open and I suspected it wouldn’t open until early next year so I was suprised by how fast it was built and opened!
I was passing by later this evening and thought I’d go in and check it out! Very nice and clean small location! As a very biased Freddy’s fan growing up in their Wichita KS corporate hub and having one right in my back yard, you can never go wrong with a unique steak-burger, amazing signature seasoned crispy shoe-string fries and classic smooth Custard Ice Cream!
I’m giving a 4 star as the service was a little jumbled and many young untrained teen staff running the front and one guy switching my order to another cashier throwing me off some when giving my order. Given the fact I showed up about 10 mins before they closed at 10 to dine out I wasn’t expecting excellent service. I had average service from ordering my Chilly Dog meal and seasonal Pumpkin concrete and when I got home, my Chilly Dog was barely warm and my fries were pretty soggy and barely cooked. Was hoping it would have still been hot or if not very warm! I had about a 7 min drive back home so was hoping my meal would have been a little better cooked but I admit I was showing up right before they were closing so I feel like 4 star is well deserved! I would have stopped in earlier got a full burger meal with my family had I known they were opened already and thanks to the big Grand Opening Balloon out front that caught my attention when passing by, I turned around just to go check it out and get something right before they closed!
Freddy’s is always my family’s favorite go-to fastfood! We just wish the prices weren’t so high for a burger meal or Icecream! I remember when It was less than $10 for most meals less than a decade ago. I know this location is brand new but hopefully over time, this location will get better trained employees as they were just goofing around on their phones and one kid said they were closed and quickly corrected himself as I walked in. I loved how clean the restaurant was compared to the older McKinney location and appreciated the friendly employees. Will be back earlier in the evening or afternoon for a full dine in meal with my family!
Please lower your average costs and keep expanding your menu and locations all over the country Freddy’s! We will be back more!

Disappointed with my visit to Freddy’s on Hardin Boulevard in McKinney. The service was slow, and my order wasn’t right. Food quality wasn’t up to the usual Freddy’s standard. Hope management works to improve things.

I was excited to try Freddy’s, but after doing so, it just doesn’t make economic sense to return. I understand the cost of business is high, but $11.22 plus tax for this combo is unacceptable. The double burger combo comes with a medium drink, skinny fries, and a burger with two paper-thin patties – classic shrinkflation. The service was fine and the place looks great from the street, but the pricing is excessive. I won’t be back.

We went here to exchange my Veterans’ Day coupon for a free, full combo meal.
Took my wife and also ordered a hamburger for her.
They only comp’ed my wife’s burger and I had to pay full price for the combo! The cashier said it only works that way.
What a crock of you-know-what!

I came on Friday night, the store was clean and the manager, I think his name was Chris, was super nice. I talked to him for a bit; he’s a nice guy. The store was clean and the food was fast and fresh. I don’t know what these snobs are complaining about; it’s fast food. If they want higher quality food, they should take more money out of their pockets and go to a five-star restaurant. Otherwise, it delivers what it promises, and I’ll keep coming back.

Huge Freddy’s fan but my experience here was not good. Not sure if I will ever return to this location or even another in the foreseeable future. Unless this location makes some changes they will be closing down like a lot of others.
The person taking our order was friendly and really good but it was the time it took to get the order and the food being cooked right that was the issue. My daughters ordered shakes with their meal and by the time the shakes were ready after we continued to ask for them they had already finished their meals. My burger was not cooked well with a bright pink center on a quarter inch patty and the table tops were not clean. Not a good experience for $50 worth of food, if you do eat here use caution and make sure your meat is cooked correctly.
