I am a type 1 diabetic & ordered a sugar free caramel latte, hot with oat milk. It was delicious. 40 minutes later my Dexcom was alerting my sugars were rising at a 3% rate and getting higher. I called the coffee shop & although she apologized she was not very understanding or remorseful. She offered to refund my money. As a diabetic $10 means nothing when your life is on the line. I could have easily went into diabetic shock. It’s been 24 hours and I am still fighting to get my sugars stabilized. Sugar free means SUGAR free. Take it seriously.
