6/10/25 came in tonight for takeout the hostess/waitress was very nice. I got the shrimp tempura roll. A sweet potato roll and an appetizer of money bags. The money bags were delicious filled with a cream cheese like filling inside of a wonton fried dough that was very flaky and delicious

Honestly a bit done w the service here I love the food and tip well but its so annoying walk In at 2:50 alone asking for a quick bite the first thing I get told is they are closed @ 3:00

Its annoying— I didnt even respond just walked right out. I leave a 25% tip everytime I am there to, sometimes I tip the bill as a nice gesture.

Masago is our go to choice for sushi and sashimi. Always fresh and well-prepared. We were seated promptly. On this visit we started with hot saki and tea. The ceramicware here is always nice to the touch.
Appetizers were curry samosa which was pleasantly spicy with a crispy pastry, and vegetable tempura.
This was followed by miso soup and a fresh, crispy salad with just the right amount of dressing. Refreshing!
Our main course was sushi sashimi love boat. The only minor disappointment was there was no boat. Oh well. The fish was fresh and well cut. Odd that a few pieces were not in an even number – for example only one shrimp. The rolls were well made.
Dinner with a drink and apps and a generous tip was $90.

So glad we found this place in Oceanside. I always find it strange when a place has a printed menu with prices, and then lists a permanent discount on those prices to make it seem like you’re getting a deal, when in actuality they should just have the menu printed with the actual prices and not inflated prices that then get discounted. Besides that very small technicality, we had a great time. The food was fresh and delicious—just they way you want sushi to be:) The udon soup and chicken katsu were also very good. The katsu was enough to share or take leftovers home for lunch the next day. The place got a little busy at 7pm, but the food came out pretty quick.

I went here for the first time in several years. The sushi is disgusting, I wouldn’t feed it to my cat. Fake wasabi, cheap soy sauce, could only imagine what grade of fish they are getting. Safe to say I’ll never go again.
