We were in Yukon and needed something to drink. Decided to go to sonic since it was still their happy hour. We got the best tasting drinks I’ve had in a long time. I got a coke zero and it tasted like it was a real coke. I will definitely go back to this location whe we are in Yukon.

For being the only fast food left in this small town, they do great! Keep in mind this is ultimately corporation owned and while they can control the cooking of the food, they cannot control the quality or the changes of the original products. Service is great and they are always kind! Service is always slower at sonics across all locations because of the drive in style. 15 min wait is average online. Do your research and don’t come if you can’t handle true expectations.

I picked up my 7 year old niece as she was going to stay with me for a couple days while her mom & dad was out of town. I asked her if she wanted to stop at Sonic and get something to drink.
She said yes and can I get some onion rings too?
I told her yes. Not knowing that I would be stopping, I did not grab my purse or wallet but I knew I had a few dollars on my cash app and LOTS of change in my console.
For a small onion ring & a small blue raspberry slushy came to $6.40 the carhop came to my window, handed me the bag of rings and her slushie. I handed her my cash app card, telling her the card has $6.00 on it and here’s the other .40 cents and here’s $3.00 for you. She said she wasn’t sure if the manager would let her do a split payment. My niece took a onion ring and put the straw in her slushie. The car hop returned saying the manager said no, he couldn’t do that and she had to take the onion rings & blushing back inside.
My niece started crying when I told her she had to give it back. I had to pull the slushie from her hands to give it back to the carhop! It’s NOT like I didn’t have the money! That was so wrong for the manager to do that. I was so embarrassed but yet broken hearted for my niece!
I know he could have did a over ride and excepted that payment but he wouldn’t.
What kind of professional person foes that? I will never go to that Sonic again!

I also fell pray to the trick of saying your food is on the way when it is not. After 30 minutes s I finally complained and was told only 5 more mins sir and a full refund. (Posted in a few days…) got my food 10 mins later. Still no refund. Truly felt scammed. Bright note tho. The food was great as always. Just shifty slow service.

I have been to this location twice, both times took over half an hour. Display will show that they’re on their way with your food a good 10-15 minutes before it actually comes. Carhops are very friendly and food was correct… But 30 minutes plus, come on.

Edit: Had to come back for another football game, hoped for a better experience. Unfortunately, again… Took half an hour, said it would be out 10 minutes before it was. Part of order was wrong and took an additional 20 minutes for one burger. Mistakes happen, but my sons burger had a foot long hair in it… Come on now. Car hops still very friendly though.
