Exellent food, service and that beautiful emerald water view at sunset just made the whole experience dreamy. I had the Grouper Vince. The grouper was lightly encrusted with green beans. The bread pudding was a delight! Everything was fresh and served with care. The price was a little higher than other restaurants in the area, but I didn’t mind since the atmosphere was good.

Let me start by saying I’ve had dinner at Beach Walk Cafe 3 times, and lunch there twice. The food has been consistently outstanding. The crab cakes, lobster tails, and grouper live rent free in my head! The views are unparalleled, and, up until my latest dining experience (8/23/25), the service has been absolutely impeccable. Sadly, my latest visit was beyond disappointing, as the customer service was not acceptable.
I made a reservation (via telephone) for my party of 5. I specified we wanted to be seated outside, and I was assured that would not be a problem as parties of 5 or more are seated outside. There was a pop up shower right before we arrived, so the chairs/tables outside were wet when we got there.
When I checked in with the host, he told me we could not be seated outside given the weather (which I understood). Here’s where it got sticky: the option he gave me for our party of 5 was to be seated indoors at 2 separate tables. I asked if he could put the tables together (for obvious reasons – a group of 5 women on vacay want to sit together), and was told no.
I was taken aback, and let him know (in a very kind manner) we wanted to be seated together, and 2 tables wouldn’t work. He then said he could wipe the chairs and table off, but it may take a minute. Unfortunately, the kindness and patience I showed him was not reciprocated. He appeared inconvenienced and visibly unhappy.
We were seated after a few minutes; the chairs and table were clean, dry, and I was encouraged the night would pick up (service-wise). I was mistaken.
Our server (I believe his name was Dexter; however, I’m not certain) left much to be desired. He was less than friendly, and was inattentive. My dirty dinner plate sat long enough I had to push it toward the center of the table to get it out of my way, and the remaining dirty dishes weren’t cleared when I was served my dessert wine (pic attached). Throughout the meal, I never felt welcome by him.
This dinner was a gift from me to my friends, on our last night in Destin. The night was impacted negatively by the lack of customer service, and that should never be the case – esp when you’re making a considerable purchase. I will more than likely give them another shot, given my other experiences were truly stellar. On the flip side, had this been my first time there, it most certainly would have also been my last.

What should have been amazing, with fantastic looking food and an extensive menu turned out to be a bit of a let down. Staff were great on arrival and got us seated inside as it was a million degrees outside. We took some advice on the menu and looked forward to our orders arriving. My soup was nice, my wife’s calamari was a little disappointing, just a bit chewy and relatively small. Then the mains meals arrived, great presentation and good size. However my fish was overloaded with big flavors – I couldnt taste the fish. It was well cooked but just a confused dish with flavors not working well to compliment the fish. This was an expensive dish. I’m not saying it was awful, but I feel they may have tried too hard. Everything else was fine, certainly not complaint worthy, but read the menu, if the fish comes with an array of crusts and accompliments it may well be over powered. Other than that one dish I’m sure everything else would be amazing…

The Snapper with truffle corn risotto was outstanding!! Highly recommend! The ambience was out of this world and the service was impeccable. Surgeon did a superb job, very attentive and all our needs were met before we even knew what they were! This whole experience was impressive! Would highly recommend the toes in the sand dinner as we did for our Anniversary! The key lime pie was DELICIOUS!

My husband took me here for a late anniversary dinner. The Beach Walk Cafe is an upscale dining experience with a very inviting, sophisticated beach feel. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was attentive and gave excellent recommendations. Our dinner was delicious. My husband had the special, golden grouper. I had the steak. Both entrees were cooked to perfect. We sat inside but with a beautiful view of the calm waves. The only drawback was the patrons seated inches away on the other side of the glass. It was similar to being inside a glass zoo enclosure where my husband and I could be viewed by those in the outside world. I have no doubt it was equally uncomfortable for the other couple on the outside trying hard not to look in at us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food. I only have photos of my to-go container and my key lime pie.

The view was absolutely incredible.
The outdoor seating was comfortable, which was good because our dinner was nearly 3 hours long.

I’m not sure if this is normal for this establishment but it felt very long to us, it could have been a little quicker on service but outside of that we would go back, maybe we’d ask if others had slower service too?

Outside of the time and how late it was at night, we would go back here for a special occasion. Certainly a great spot that feels like local secret.

My family has been coming to Destin for 50+ years every summer. It’s our happy place. We had heard about Beach Walk, and were rained out of our outdoor reservation last year (side note: the restaurant did not call us to tell us they do not do any parties above 4 indoors, so we showed up only for them to tell us they couldn’t seat us and we were rained out of our reservation. Should have take this terrible service as a sign!).

Nonetheless, there are few places to eat on the water, so we were excited to try it! Especially because my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer this year, and this could very well be his last year here. It was a special night for us.

Our party of 6 was seated at a great table outside. Had a great view, drinks and appetizers, and were very excited about the entrees. However, a brief weather cell was rolling in, and we were told we’d need to leave our table to go either inside or to the covered patio. Bummer, but totally get it.

However, we were told they would be splitting us up into two tables of 3…what?! That changes a dynamic. When we asked about eating inside the NEARLY EMPTY dining room (see pictures), the manager was insistent that was not possible and they never push tables together, and we should have factored this risk when we decided to dine with them. Incredibly disappointed, we cancelled our entrees, left, and without finding anywhere else open after 9, went home.

This was our only night out on our 2 week trip, so we were so looking forward to this, but ended it eating leftovers in our nice clothes at home.

We are there for Thanksgiving and we’re amazed. The food was amazing. It was pricey but we felt like we were being treated as royalty. We are definitely coming back.

Let me start off with our Waitress EDIT V, was AMAZING!

Unfortunately the New Year’s Eve dinner was a huge disappointment.

My husband and I were told from the locals that this was the place to be for FINE DINING .

So we thought, will go there for our New Years Dinner before our other events, thinking we would blend in with everyone else because it’s “fine dining” and New Years Eve dinner at 7:30.

Not the case, we felt so uncomfortable and way OVERDRESSED.

There were people there in jeans, polo shirts, tank tops , and camo with very little people dressed up as we were.

You walk in feeling like it’s a Cracker Barrel, the male host was watching TV, seeming to be bothered with everyone who came in.

We were told they were running 40 mins behind, which happens, so we thought we sit at the bar and wait.

NO there’s no place to sit in the lobby, when there’s groups of people waiting and the outside bar would’ve worked, if it wasn’t cold and windy (on the beach). No one wants their hair ruined when they’re dressed up.

We finally get seated in a corner area where you felt you were squeezed in.

The table was not prepared as “fine dining” proper plating, silverware and glassware.

You were given ONE fork and one knife and you used that ONE fork throughout your entire meal!

Then at the end of our meal a different server came by grabbing the rest of our plates stating “don’t you wanna keep your fork for dessert”, I said NO.

And the Key Lime Pie should not have been the star of the entire meal for the price we paid.

If you’re looking for a place to go, after golfing, or shopping with the ladies, and you would like to sit on the deck while enjoying the beautiful Gulf views, this is your place!

But if you’re looking for fine dining, this is not the place go.

We were staying at the Henderson Park Inn, bed and breakfast for several nights, and from our balcony could smell the aroma each night from the kitchen of the Beach Walk. It was almost as amazing as the sunsets, and ocean waves breaking!
Our last night we left the beach and went to the desk to make reservations, to late for anything out side till 8pm! We settled for 5pm bye the window.
We were the first to arrive, the wife had mixed green salad, with walnuts and strawberries, snapper, corn risotto I had shrimp cocktail, grouper, green beans and we shared a side of Brussels sprouts cooked perfectly. Service was great, food was excellent, a wonderful meal and experience, atmosphere.
