Food was great. One nice kid took our order. Manger said “Where is all my cashiers” after we finally got our food and sat down. Then I went back up there and she was just sitting there chatting away looking straight at me multiple times.

Food was good. Chicken strips were just right. Juicy and seasoned well. Zax sauce is awesome. Chicken fajita quesadilla was okay. Very messy but taste was pretty good. Staff was very nice.

Size of the meal changes every time. The wings are always overly crunchy and cold, and the sauce is little to none. The management is also terrible. Only thing good is the bathrooms and they still barely get cleaned.

Decided to dine-in…walked in at the wrong time i guess, short lady with black hair arguing from across the room with one of the cooks “Christian”. I was looking at the menu and she came up with a bad attitude and mean look on her face so I said no thanks and left.

Seriously disappointed. We stopped here because we didn’t have a lot of time to go to a normal “sit down” dinner and we thought it would be a better option over McDonald’s or Burger King.
We were so wrong.
The person who took our order acted as if he didn’t actually work there and was forced to speak to other humans.
We asked for water bottles, which apprently they only do fountain water (see the picture for that beautiful site of sticky syrupy madness).
Once our order came up, they gave us food that belonged to someone else. My husband, as crazy as this sounds, took the food back to the counter to get what he ordered. They literally took the food from him, handed him the proper order, and said NOTHING. Not a “sorry” or anything.
And then I made the mistake of using the ladie’s room.
You would think with this much chaos they were so busy and just couldn’t keep up. Nope. It seems like they just don’t care or take any pride in their work.

As of 9/22/25 At the drive-through there is a big sign that says giant quesadilla/fajita chicken, bacon and ranch. I have been now three times through the drive-through within the past 2 weeks. at which point whoever is working Tells me they are discontinued to no longer available. That doesn’t make any sense to me . I know that menu items come and go, but if it’s on the sign, it should still be available. Two weeks later and yes, I told whoever was at the drive-through window and they just referred it up to their management and said it was their responsibility. A little disappointed, but I will continue to go because I enjoy Zaxby’s food.

I stopped here on the way traveling. I was tired and hungry, hoping to enjoy a nice warm Zaxby’s chicken and fries meal!
I was highly disappointed! The fries tasted like they just came from a microwave and they had absolutely NO seasoning on them. The whole thing was disgusting! This place is definitely not up the quality of any other Zaxby’s! If I have to stop in Morganton again, I’ll go to McDonald’s!

What a great experience. I stop in occasionally on lunch and customer service is always great. The manager Ashley came to check on me as well as other customers after sitting down, to see if I needed a refill, or any extra condiments. She offered to take my tray when I was finished. She has converted Zaxbys into fine dining almost haha. Great job team. Keep it up. This city needs more employees and managers like you.

I use to love zaxbys years ago but now I know why I stopped coming here.. this place smells incredibly bad when you first walk in and does not look clean anymore.. and the chicken tenders are very stringy and tough ..
