From hand stretching and forming the dough to choosing only the best ingredients. Our mozzarella is made and stretched in house and our sausage is made from scratch. With our tomatoes, peeling away their delicate skins, and crushing them to the perfect consistency, our pizza is a labor of love. We have enjoyed creating a menu that will delight your senses, awaken your palate, and brings you back to us, again and again.

My husband and I came for lunch on a snowy afternoon. We were seated right away. Ambience is nice and cozy. We ordered the lamb meatballs as an appetizer…oh my goodness. You could make a meal just out of that. It’s a generous portion of 4 delicious meatballs served over polenta and sauce. They serve it with homemade bread which was incredible dipped into the polenta and sauce.
I then ordered a pizza which had sausage and mushrooms and my husband ordered a calzone. Both of these were amazing and nicely sized.
I generally don’t order dessert but opted to try the panna cotta. Absolutely wonderful. Light and flavorful. But honestly the star for me was their decaf coffee of all things…the said it’s Sparrow brand which makes a blend specific for their restaurant. Being pregnant and having had an array of decaf coffees…this is hands down the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Will definitely visit again.

We started with the Polpette, which was excellent. The flavors were wonderful, and the house made bread was delicious.

We ordered two pizzas, the Mediterraneo and the Pistacchio. Both were very good, but the pistachio pizza was exceptional. It was rich, savory and easily one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. I’m already looking forward to returning for it.

The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. Highly recommend.

Delicious dishes, fresh high quality ingredients, and attentive service. Creative recipes give plenty of choices to try something interesting.

We had the beet salad, Polpette (lamb meatballs over polenta), Angiolette Fritti Salad for starters. All amazing.

Then the pizzas had perfect crust with just the right amount of leopard spotting, with tasty sauce.

The dessert (deconstructed Lemon cake) was tasty…

And the music selection that night was great (Steely Dan, 80’s mix, etc)

10/10 stars if I could. Came here for dinner with a group of friends after a long day of hiking and we were not disappointed! The food, the service, I have only positive things to say! The man that was our server had the best personality – very welcoming! I got the funghi pizza which was out of this world good! For dessert I had the deconstructed lemon cake and it really hit the spot. Not a single complaint was made amongst my large group about their food. I wish this place was in Cleveland!

I and my girlfriend were in Ottowa after hiking at Mattheisson, and decided to look through the selection of restaurants.

After picking Iniga, we stopped in and were BLOWN AWAY.

The atmosphere and service were phenomenal!

Our server, Brent, was articulate, fast, and helped us grasp the distinctly italian menu. When our selected appetizer came out, we knew we were in for one of the best meals we’ve ever had.

And then THE PIZZA showed up! It was worth every dollar! I’ve never had better, and it was such an exquisite experience! I ordered the Hot White, and my partner the pepperoni special.

Thank you again, Brent and Iniga, for a perfect meal to our first day traveling in Illinois.

If you’re looking for a good place to eat in Ottowa after a long hike, COME HERE!

What a wonderful experience tonight for dinner! 4 of us ordered different pizzas and shared them. Each variety was so delicious!

Atmosphere is excellent! Lighting is soft, redesign of the place is fitting for the style they’re going for. The open kitchen is interesting to watch the pizzas made in their fire oven.
We will definitely be back!

Iniga Pizzeria Napoletana in Ottawa, Illinois is the kind of place that makes you rethink what pizza should taste like. Tucked into a cozy spot on Jefferson Street, it’s got that warm, welcoming vibe that instantly feels like home—but with the aroma of a wood-fired oven working its magic. Their Margherita pizza? Absolute perfection. The crust has that ideal leopard spotting, crisp on the outside and tender inside, with just the right chew. The sauce is bright and balanced, the mozzarella melts like a dream, and the fresh basil adds that final aromatic punch that ties it all together.
What I love most is how Iniga stays true to Neapolitan tradition while still feeling fresh and modern. You can tell they care about ingredients and technique, but they don’t make it feel fussy. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the whole experience—from the playlist to the plating—feels thoughtfully curated without being overdone.
Whether you’re swinging through town or making it a destination after a hike at Starved Rock, Iniga is worth the detour. I’ve tried a few of their other pizzas, but I keep coming back to the Margherita. It’s simple, classic, and done exactly right.
