The food and drinks were amazing. The pastries were fresh and perfectly made, and their famous hot chocolate was rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Everything looked as good as it tasted! We ordered so much and loved every single bite.
Sitting outside and enjoying the Parisian vibe made it even more special. It felt like such a dreamy experience the perfect place to relax, talk, and soak in the city.
If you’re in Paris and want a café that feels both iconic and cozy, Carette is a must. We loved it so much and would go back in a heartbeat! ✨
Definitely not a cheap place to dine but totally worth the price you pay.
Highly recommend Carette and hope to visit again.
This is my second visit , came here only for brdakfast. I willing to queue just for a hot chocolate with delicious cream. The ambiance is warm and cozy atmosphere, elegant decor, outdoor seating with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
As usual I tried hot chocolate , rich and creamy served whipped cream also croissants. The prices are reasonable.
To get there , you can take Metro Line 6 stop at Trocadéro station, and choose exit av.Kléber.This cafe is super crowded every day especially breakfast time, so be prepared to queue.
Overall, good services. Friendly and helpfull staff’s. Merci beaucoup Carette.
The café has a charming, old-school Parisian feel and is clearly popular for a reason. The hot chocolate was very good—rich, thick, and indulgent—but it’s so decadent that it’s best shared with someone rather than having one all to yourself.
The service was great overall, with attentive and professional staff doing their best to keep things moving. That said, the seating is extremely close together, to the point where you can easily overhear every conversation happening around you, which can take away from the experience if you’re hoping for something more relaxed or intimate. It’s also very packed, so expect to wait to be seated and sometimes wait a bit for your server as well.
Overall, a good stop for the experience and treats, just be prepared for the crowds and tight seating.
The crepe had zero flavor completely bland, dry, and lifeless. The strawberries were so sour they made my face twist. Nothing tasted fresh.
There was NOTHING special about this place, yet it was ridiculously overpriced for what might be the worst-tasting food and drink I have ever had.
When I told the staff, they casually brushed it off and said, “Everyone else is drinking it and no one is saying anything,” as if that somehow made it acceptable. No apology, no concern, nothing.
The smell was awful. The taste was even worse.
Please don’t waste your money avoid this place at all costs.
I also ordered their Roasted Sea Bass, which was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The seasoning was subtle and elegant, just what you’d expect from a classic Parisian café.
The atmosphere is charming and elegant, with a great view and friendly service even when the place gets busy. Perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or an afternoon treat. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Paris!
