Tried Seasoned To The Bone and the name is spot on! Food was delicious, well seasoned. We had the Jerk Chicken Leg Quarter Plate with rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains. They offer Patties in beef, chicken, veggie, and beef with cheese. We had the beef. The sauces on the jerk chicken was so damn good, I spooned what I could over the rice and it just elevated it even higher. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly. The plantains were cooked right. We haven’t had the best experiences with some other Jamaican food restaurants in St Louis so we are beyond pleased to have came across Seasoned To The Bone, we will be regulars. This is not a sit down restaurants, its to go orders. They forgot to make our meat patties, but had them done in about 5 mins. I didnt mind waiting. The food was hot and fresh. This business shares parking in a mini mall area with other businesses, but there is also street parking available.

I continue to seek out the small business owners everywhere I go…

In St Louis this weekend for a business event, we (child and I), sought out food other than from a chain restaurant and found Seasoned To The Bone Jamaican Restaurant. She loves grilled chicken, and this was the place I found that best suited little’s taste buds.

The jerk sauce is very flavorful and not too overpowering spicy – it’s got just the right kick. The cabbage and rice blended together nicely with the flavor of the chicken.

And what I really enjoyed were the drink options. Not only do they offer Jamaican sodas, they prepare fresh juices daily sweetened with agave instead of sugar – a real treat for me!! Beets and beet juice are difficult for my tastebuds to process, but I try to drink the juice and eat the vegetable for health benefits – I tried the beetroot juice and it was awesome! A definite go-back-and-get-again.

And for dessert, we were offered a sweet dough called “festival” – something I had never heard of before. It was really good!

Support this business and eat good food.

I don’t know if I wentvon the wrong day…but I went the sunday after valentine’s day the staff didn’t know the prices,no food was ready waited an hour and order was still wrong. The ox tails were good but everything else was trash. If they have other cooks I suggest firing the ones there on the 15th of February. Order mac and cheese none to be found on plate, just rice and beans which smelled and taste like cinnamon nothing like the Jamaican food I’ve ever tasted.

I just ate Jerk Chicken from “Seasoned To The Bone Jamaican Restaurant,” and it was absolutely delicious! In my opinion, it’s hard to find good Jamaican food in St. Louis.
This Jamaican food was so good.
The meat was very well seasoned. They didn’t just rely on their jerk sauce to save the day. The rice and peas were flavorful also. The cabbage was seasoned and so savory. The plantains, lord the plantains, were caramelized, sweet, and delicious.
I ordered mild jerk sauce. It was tasty, too. It had a nice, spicy kick.
I highly recommend this restaurant, and I will most definitely try more of their food.
Such a big yummm!
***Update*** Yesterday, when I ate this food, it was delivered through Door Dash.
The food was so good that I went back today in person for take-out.
The Jamaican gentleman who helped me was so nice and even shared how he became such a great cook from his grandmother. Tonight, I had the Rasta Pasta, Yellow rice, Jerk Chicken, and those delicious plantains. Fresh, friendly service and good portions again. Give this place a try!

I was in the middle of eating my SECOND plate of jerk chicken and said, “hollon lemme leave a review. It’s just too good!” I love jerk chicken and I really don’t eat from many STL restaurants because the food quality and taste never is good. I travel a lot and I can honestly say that this is the best Jamaican food in St.Louis. I’ve been to them all! I’ve ordered so much jerk chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage from places all over the city and something was always off but not here! It’s truly seasoned to the bone but not overly seasoned. The flavors are amazing, it’s not super spicy or saltly like I a lot of other places. It taste like jerk chicken! Not bbq chicken with a lil bit of jerk sauce but JERK CHICKEN! I’m rambling but man oh man I haven’t ate this good in a minute! Can’t wait to try the oxtails. My little sister so picky but she ate her whole plate! She said and I quote, “this fye!”

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE

I was at one of my favorite local groceries and saw how he treated one of the cashiers and he was so mean and had a terrible attitude.

Will come back to change the review once he adjusts his manners but not sure he will.

First off it’s small so don’t think you’ll be dining there. I got the oxtails and for 35 dollars I think the price was steep due to the lack of meat on the bones. I mean it was almost no existent. I’m sure it was an accident. I will definitely return and try the oxtail alone with a few other dishes to see if everything else will hold up.

I got oxtails. They were tender and good however the portions were very small. The cabbage was nasty to me and the rice was salty. Not bad but not the best. I probably will not return. Customer service was good.
