Being gluten free can make dining out a challenge, so when we’re choosing a place, good reviews are a must. Add in the fact that we travel with our pups, and dog-friendly is non-negotiable! Tony’s Italian Eatery in Colville, WA checked every single box—and then some.

We were seated on the back patio where our amazing server wiped down the table and immediately brought out water for our dogs (huge plus!). She was so sweet with them—even surprising them with a little cup of shredded chicken. She chatted with us about gluten free options and shared her own experience being keto, which made us feel extra comfortable.

Since we were celebrating our son’s birthday, she truly went above and beyond. We ordered a 6-topping gluten free pizza (perfectly cooked with a crisp crust) and an antipasto salad that she kindly split for my husband and me to share. Our son had the chicken and mushroom alfredo with garlic bread, and the portion was absolutely generous. Everything came out fresh, hot, and beautifully presented.

The best part? Dessert! After our meal, she surprised our son with a slice of huckleberry cheesecake topped with a candle, and the whole table joined in singing happy birthday. On top of that, we couldn’t resist ordering a slice of the gluten free chocolate cake layered with white chocolate ganache and topped with whipped cream—honestly, to die for.

Between the thoughtful service, the fantastic gluten free options, and the warm, dog-friendly vibe, Tony’s is an absolute must if you’re in the Colville area. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.

Great food and service! We had the meatball sub and steak philly. They are generous with the amount of meat so the sandwich is not all bread, it was just right. The waitress was a very kind lady who provided excellent service. There is a great patio area outside but because it was so hot was sat inside. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This is a local hometown small but good restaurant. The food was excellent and served hot. The portions were more than adequate. The staff was pleasant and attentive and had a great attitude. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is the prices are a bit on the high side. But it is helping the local economy which is what we all need to do after this pandemic. Also summer is coming and their outdoor patio is open for nice day dining.

The food at Tony’s is always hot and fresh. They are pretty knowledgeable about gluten-free offerings and do have gluten-free pasta and gluten-free pizza. this chicken salad I had was amazing, and my friend enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. The time before that I got eggplant parmesan on gluten-free pasta (no, the eggplant part is not gluten free and they made sure to let me know that, but I wanted it so I had it anyway), in on a cold winter’s day, it was exactly what I needed. Hot, hearty, fresh, and delicious. The chocolate and white cake for dessert, that is gluten-free, was utterly amazing and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for like 3 days. It was the perfect finishing touch for the meal. I definitely recommend Tony’s.

My husband liked his sandwich okay. The kids chicken strips were over cooked and dry. Fries were great. This is a real mom and pop down to earth kind of place which are my favorite types of places. I will say it was packed when we went. All local people who seemed to enjoy their food, and thanking the cook and wait staff on the way out. So I think this place clearly has a good following and can’t be bad if there are that many dedicated individuals. The wait staff was insanely kind and attentive. I noticed something unhygienic and was put off and my pasta was not agreeable, so I didn’t end up eating any of it. I wanted to love it. The two stars are solely for the mom/pop type business and the friendly service. Maybe we went on an off night?

Am gluten free, so was excited about the reviews from the previous GF guests. My gf fettuccine alfredo with chicken broccoli and mushrooms was edible. Very little chicken. Alfredo not very creamy.
My lunch guest’s (not GF restricted) lunch was very unappetizing. It was lasagna with a meatball. Something unrecognizable in the lasagna. She couldn’t eat it. And fighting with the numerous flies was disruptive. Server was attentive, even provided a small discount on the unappetizing lasagna.
