Tips for ordering and seating and timing (lunch hour).

1. Ordering: The three taco plate is the real deal here. It comes with rice and beans, and it’s rather substantial. Like all of the taco boys, the food is very good. And it’s priced somewhat inexpensively. Not the cheapest tacos, but certainly not the most expensive, and creative tacos for the price. So priced appropriately. But if you order the three taco plate, you really do have a big meal plus probably one taco leftover, because the rice and beans are quite filling.
The fish tacos are OK, but the shrimp tacos are excellent! They cook the shrimp perfectly at all of the locations, and this one is no exception. And it’s not just a couple of shrimp. It’s really the taco to get.

2. Seating: This location is large and is a seat – yourself at lunch. There are lots of windows, so be careful where you sit because as the sun shifts, the room is flooded with light. That’s wonderful if you are a light lover. But it can also come in and be in your eyes, especially at lunch, so it’s lovely that it’s so bright, but you may want to avoid sitting right at the window at the 1230 or 1 PM mark in the winter. It’s really great to have a nice bright restaurant, but the angle can come in right in your eyes, depending on where you choose to sit.

3. My son works nearby, so we came on a Friday around lunchtime, and we were on the early side, 12:00 or so, but as our lunch continued we saw a very long line form. They were handling it quite well, but I think with all of the shops and fun things to do in this area, people are coming on in at the lunch hour, so you may want to get there closer to the 12 PM mark, or risk a large line.

Solid food, solid pricing, friendly people at the counter, a bit large and bright for me, but that may just be me.

Wow! This place hits all the marks. Best refried beans I’ve ever had. They have a smoked flavor. Ordered the kimchi beef tacos with rice and beans. Absolutely amazing. Service is also on point. John was killing it.

Really good tacos! I ordered the grilled fish and crispy avocado. I even ate the rice and beans which I never touch with other Mexican dishes.

First time here and everything was amazing! I definitely recommend the Mexican Caesar Salad and the churros. Thank you to our server Jhon for making it the best experience. I will make sure to go back next time I am visiting the area.

Went right before 4 on a Friday and got served super quickly! The lunch deal is pretty worth it. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. The avocado and shrimp taco were delicious!!!!!

Super overpriced GENTRIFIED tacos. The amount of cultural appropriation in this place is insane! A day of the dead alter when it’s not even Mexican owned is SO inappropriate. Latino culture is not up for cosplay especially in times like these. If you’re going to put an alter that honors the dead at least do it right. There’s no food offering or anything. None of the candles are lit and it’s pictures of dead celebrities not ancestors.

Great place to go after shopping or before a movie! Located in Biltmore Park – go grab a pitcher of margaritas during Happy Hour! The chips and salsa are yummy! Had dinner after and definitely left with a full tummy. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outdoor patio!

Oh my goodness, I’ve never heard of this place and even looking it up we have a few in the low country of where we live, but we decided to try taco boy tonight and YUMMMMMMMMM!!! Our server Skylar b was perfection, our food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was wonderful. Skylar was very attentive and patient. He gave us the time we wanted to enjoy, very informative on our drink and dinner choices. Wonderful server. My husband and I did the 3 taco choice. I got Baja taco(mahi), tinga, kimchi beef taco, i loved every single one so much and each had such a unique flavor profile that was perfection. My husband tried to barria, chicken bacon and ranch taco, carne asada, and even he agrees every single one was perfect, down to thinking the chicken bacon ranch was gonna be basic and plain. Nope, full of flavor, everything you could imagine in a taco we had a few drinks and each one was just as yummy. Thank you taco boy for our delish meal and drinks tonight. Can’t wait to try the locations near us or to deff come back to this location!! Keep up the amazing work.

We were sad to see Taco Boy’s West Asheville location closed, but excited that we could still get delivery from them to our home in East Asheville. Then I saw that they also do catering and decided to have them cater a staff appreciation party for my therapy team. This was a huge hit. Everything was super easy, the delivery was perfect and they provided us with everything we needed for a successful party.
