1. Ordering: The three taco plate is the real deal here. It comes with rice and beans, and it’s rather substantial. Like all of the taco boys, the food is very good. And it’s priced somewhat inexpensively. Not the cheapest tacos, but certainly not the most expensive, and creative tacos for the price. So priced appropriately. But if you order the three taco plate, you really do have a big meal plus probably one taco leftover, because the rice and beans are quite filling.
The fish tacos are OK, but the shrimp tacos are excellent! They cook the shrimp perfectly at all of the locations, and this one is no exception. And it’s not just a couple of shrimp. It’s really the taco to get.
2. Seating: This location is large and is a seat – yourself at lunch. There are lots of windows, so be careful where you sit because as the sun shifts, the room is flooded with light. That’s wonderful if you are a light lover. But it can also come in and be in your eyes, especially at lunch, so it’s lovely that it’s so bright, but you may want to avoid sitting right at the window at the 1230 or 1 PM mark in the winter. It’s really great to have a nice bright restaurant, but the angle can come in right in your eyes, depending on where you choose to sit.
3. My son works nearby, so we came on a Friday around lunchtime, and we were on the early side, 12:00 or so, but as our lunch continued we saw a very long line form. They were handling it quite well, but I think with all of the shops and fun things to do in this area, people are coming on in at the lunch hour, so you may want to get there closer to the 12 PM mark, or risk a large line.
Solid food, solid pricing, friendly people at the counter, a bit large and bright for me, but that may just be me.
