My husband and I love eating here! We have had brunch, lunch and supper here and the food is always amazing! Love the atmosphere and the staff are so friendly! Highly recommend, and a huge plus is sitting at a window seat and the ocean view is amazing!

My crew and I went to Mo’z this last summer. I was going to write a review and forgot to so here it is. This was the BEST BBQ I have EVER had! Hands down! Mo and his family own and operate this place and do a fantastic job! Their hospitality is bar none! I even got a hug from Mo himself! He a great man and and even greater Master of his craft. The brisket MELTS in your mouth! They also have games you can play at your table while you wait! They have a dinner theater too but we were not there for that. So if you want the best BBQ at a decent price, go to Mo’z! You won’t regret it!! Remember: you go up the carpeted stairs and the restaurant is at the top. Cheers!

My girlfriend and I were walking along Virginia Beach and wanted to try something new. On a whim, we decided to try the barbecue place called Mo’z Bar and Grill. We were greeted warmly by a gentleman who took us to our table and took our orders. He was very friendly, and we learned that it was Mo himself! We got to play our choice of games at the table while we waited briefly for our food. We both got the combo barbecue ribs and beef brisket platter, and hands down, it was the best barbecue I’ve ever had in the numerous states I’ve been to. Everything from the perfectly cooked brisket, to the fall off the bone ribs, to the Mac n cheese, to the service and friendliness of Mo, was the best part of my whole month. I will be going back, and I strongly recommend this place to anyone who happens to be remotely near Virginia Beach. Thank you again Mo for the phenomenal experience and food!

Came here for Moz BBQ and left wishing we stayed for the show. The food was absolutely delicious and it meant a lot that Chef Curtis (Moz himself) came to check in on us and ask how we were doing. He told us how the Caesar Salad was house made without the anchovy. We were impressed by the portion sizes of the platters (Pork BBQ platter with fries and Mac and cheese sides pictured). The pork bbq had a very pleasant sweetness to it and the Mac and cheese was creamy. We also had the brisket platter and a brisket Philly cheesesteak, which were also incredibly delicious. The cornbread was better than my aunt’s – not too dry and just the right amount of sweetness. We got a chilly cheese dog to go.
Staff was very welcoming and attentive.
The ambience itself was also really cool because it was like a retro theatre. I don’t think they have an elevator tho and you’ll need to climb a flight of steps to come up to the place, but I also didn’t ask if there were elevators.
I love how this place supports the arts community and again, I wish we got to stay for the show. We arrived around 6p and got our food ordered and finished in time before the 7p show. Excellent service and food. Definitely recommend!

This place is so much fun and has delicious food. We just did dinner and no show, but if we’d had enough time, would’ve done the show too (it sounded fun). The food was homemade with care, and served in very generous portions. Be sure to try their chicken and waffles with their homemade honey sauce, and also the Motato. So good! We capped the visit off with fresh cotton candy (22 flavors!). The chef, Mo, is great, and his lovely wife was our fantastic server. If we lived closer, we’d be here all the time.

Had two platters delivered through doordash. One brisket & BBQ with ff and chips. One BBQ with Mac & cheese. It arrived still hot, BUT my brisket & BBQ platter was 33+ dollars . It had only ½ cup of BBQ, my wife had the same amount of BBQ in her platter for 22+ dollars. WTH! I WILL NEVER EATVOR ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

wonderful, friendly service! every single person we interacted with was positive. we were a little unsure walking up as there aren’t many signs noting you can dine in before shows. we were seated quickly once walking up the stairs. food was delicious, my little one especially loved the creature shaped mini-waffles! atmosphere was fun and family friendly, with a good stock of board games to play if you wish. next time we’ll plan to go for the show!

This is truly one of virginia beach best kept secrets. Every dish is exquisite from the flavor to service and Curtis himself is a master of his craft . I’ve traveled all over America nobody comes close to the quality of food made right here. You will not be disappointed with your dining experience here.
