I live in San Jose and am up here for work 2-3 times a month. I never noticed this spot as I’ve been going to the one down the street for a while…but wow I’ll be coming back. Some of the BEST pho I’ve had, broth was so rich and flavourful, wide noodles, and generous portions of meat as pictured.

An authentic Vietnamese restaurant in downtown San Leandro. Food was flavorful and served hot in pretty good portions. Bo Kho noodle soup was fantastic! Lovely atmosphere too. Plenty of parking spaces right at the side of the resto. Too bad they increased their prices though. Still, would definitely come back!

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences at Lotus Leaf in San Leandro. I ordered the vegetarian tofu option, but they gave me a dish with meat and chicken. When I went back to fix it, instead of apologizing, the staff raised their voices at me and insisted that the meat dish was their “vegetarian option.”
It was unbelievable. No respect, no accountability, and no understanding of what vegetarian even means.

I left feeling disrespected and frustrated. I will never return and I don’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have dietary restrictions or expect basic customer service.

Highly recommend!! 10/10 for quality of food, service, & ambiance.

I got the steak pho, pork chop with fried rice, and spring rolls, and they were all so delicious! All the dishes had balanced flavors that tasted homemade and not overly salty or greasy.

The service was also so warm and attentive. The owners actually take the time to chat and get to know you, so it really adds a personal touch and makes the whole place feel welcoming.

I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Vietnamese food in San Leandro!

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. My wife ordered their chicken pho and I ordered their grilled pork chop rice plate.

The pork chop was grilled nicely and charred just the way I like it. However, a good part of the pork chop was pure fat. The pho was above average. The broth and noodles were nice, but the chicken was a bit on the dry side. I would rate the food 3.5 out of 5.

Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable. An overall positive experience.

Our visit to this establishment was solely to grab some bah mi sandwiches to go. They wrapped them up beautifully, and added a cute logo sticker on the wrapping—a nice touch! I also indulged in their Thai tea, which was delicious, especially after a bit of extra sweetener was added to perfection. However, I was surprised by an additional ten cents charge for each plastic bag used. While understandable, it would have been appreciated to be informed upfront about this charge to avoid any surprises. It’s always helpful for customers to know about such charges in advance to make informed decisions.

Overall, great sandwiches and tea, but transparency about charges would improve the experience.

Ordered Yellow Curry with prawns and fried rice. It tasted decent, but the curry was more soupy than I expected. And in the end. I was left with more potatoes than the prawns (which seemed more like shrimp). Overall, not bad. But left feeling not really satiated. And also, not feeling it was worth the price.

Their grilled meat fresh roll here is excellent. They give you generous serving. Their spicy soup BBH is also delicious. Broth was very tasty. I also ordered their egg roll and shrimp vermicelli which was also very tasty. Been coming here a handful times now and food has been consistent. Family owned. Service is excellent. Ambiance decor is very nice and high end. They offer private parking and accommodates about a dozen cars but also plenty of street parking. Highly recommend.

Food was good. Quality of meat for the pho was great. Noodles are different from the usual thin noodles I get elsewhere. Unfortunately there’s only one server working the room so service was slow during lunch. Price is a little high for the portions

We ordered online for pickup on 12/19/21 and we were maybe 5 minutes later than the official pickup time. It didn’t matter because apparently the order didn’t go through anyway in their system.

They started to scramble because our order wasn’t ready so we told them we’d just dine in instead (which is cheaper.) Somehow they had our order but just hadn’t made it, as we didn’t get menus, but they still brought us the foods we choose eventually.

The spring rolls are not gluten free as they have fried crispy bits that I didn’t notice until I took a bite. My husband ended up eating them because I have Celiac and can’t eat gluten, which would be in the crispy bits.

I had brisket pho and I could see that they sprinkled ground pepper over the top, which I’ve never seen before. The broth was really mediocre and that’s the first time I’ve not finished a bowl of pho from a restaurant.

I don’t think I’d recommend this place for pho specifically.
