The staff was friendly. Our order was quickly prepared and delivered. The food was the right temperature. My cortado was decent, but a little too dark. I suspect the beans had been roasted some time ago.
I look forward to a return visit. I want to try the red eye and London Fog tea. 4.5 ⭐’s.
Are there just a bunch of teenage girls with bad attitudes working here or something? Because consistently that is how it feels. This has happened a few times, today was the worst with the attitudes.
I started going here again (after a terrible experience years ago when they first opened) when I discovered that their cold brew was better than Grabajava’s, but that’s where the positive ended. Clearly.
At least Grabajava has nice employees. Moxo’s coffee is consistent and better, although Springfield generally has “nurse coffee,” and not good coffee. I will not be back to Hae’s.
This time when I opened the burrito I ordered it was so messy I couldn’t eat it in the car. The bag only had 2 napkins so there was no cleaning this mess up.
If my partner didn’t like their coffee we’d stop going all together.

The atmosphere is family-friendly and cozy.
When I placed my order, the barista did not listen and instead made a coffee combination of his own. When I pointed out that it wasn’t what I ordered, a young lady stated that it was “what the screen said,” seemingly to avoid further discussion. I took the drink anyway because I was already running late for work.
Once I started drinking it, the coffee was honestly terrible and undrinkable. I politely called Hae’s Coffee to explain the situation. The person I spoke with was kind and told me they would replace the drink if I came back. I explained that I was already on my way to work and couldn’t return that day. She said she would take my name so I could come back later for a replacement, which I appreciated.
I went back on New Year’s Eve, but they were closed. I returned again this morning and was told they have a same-day replacement policy, that my name was not on file, and that they could not replace the drink. At that point, there was nothing they were willing to do.
Between the lack of listening when taking my order and the inconsistent customer service afterward, this experience felt very similar to the issues I’ve had with large chains like Starbucks—which is disappointing because I truly want to support local businesses. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning
I decided to come in a week after they opened. It’s a beautiful building. There’s outside seating that looks onto the beautiful trees in Duncan Park.
Very tall ceilings in the main shop make it feel less crowded when packed with people.
I got the cold brew and it’s quite delicious. I probably won’t finish it only because I can tell it’s highly caffeinated. Which I know many people love!
I’ll review again once I try the food.
