This place is a hidden gem. People drive by daily and probably don’t even think about it. Too bad for them…our table of seven women had a variety of meals and loved everything. The wine list is actually a book of many options of bottles. The atmosphere was lovely. Ed, our waiter, was amazing, he seemed to be close by when we needed him. He was very attentive but not lingering. Great service and great food. It had been a while since many of us had been here. We all vowed not to wait so long to return. By the way, we made reservations, you may want to also.

Fantastic restaurant for our Galentine’s celebration. Delicious Italian standards with flair. Try the canneloni! Fabulous specials. And dessert was sublime! Rob, the chef, makes you feel right at home too. Conversation friendly set-up means I could hear my soft-spoken friend without a problem, but other tables didn’t have to listen to me! Great for a date night or family celebration.

Everything was delicious from the scarpola to the ziti cabonara to the family-recipe desserts. Adam was very knowledgeable and my first experience here was amazing because of his recommendations and service!

I had a really good experience at Frank Papa’s this past Saturday. The service was excellent. We started with the scarola which was a light, unique, and delicious appetizer. I then had the pollo pepato which was absolutely delicious! I split a delicious bottle of white wine which paired nicely with the meal.

Frank Papas Ristorante is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an extraordinary dining experience. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, perfect for any occasion.
The menu is a masterpiece of authentic flavors and diverse options. Every dish we tried was simply divine—starting with the fresh, crisp salads and flavorful appetizers. The entrées were outstanding; the pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and vibrant, and the seafood tasted like it was caught that morning. And don’t even get me started on the desserts—each bite was a heavenly indulgence.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure every detail of our meal was flawless. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt cared for throughout the evening.
Frank Papas Ristorante delivers a dining experience that combines top-tier cuisine with exceptional service in a beautiful setting. I cannot recommend this place highly enough—it’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality and flavor! Five stars all the way!

Hosted my husbands 50th birthday here. Overall 2 stars. Summary below:
Pros
– Bussing service. The kids had great manners and refilled waters timely.
– Sufficient parking (if that matters)
– Server was nice (but slow)
– offers a complimentary dessert for birthday guy
Considerations for improvement
– Lacked attention to details. Example – Had to track down service for the basics: salt, pepper, parmesan, refills, etc
– We ordered appetizers (ravioli and calamari) While it was a nice gesture to divide and plate separately before bringing out – it was not requested. Many of the guests at the table did not want calamari (and one actually is allergic – so plating her ravioli with the calamari resulted in her not getting any appetizers) This also resulted in other touching and trading around the table with others who did want it. Again, attention to detail missed.
– Service was slow. Ordered initial drinks and only received 1 refill on drinks, and took a great length of time to get (to the point our party was wondering if our order got lost) Could never get in time any further cocktail drinks.
– Decor is very dated and lacks a clean theme. Could benefit from being refreshed (including lightening system)
– Food: Overall sentiments from the party, food was bland. Salad was watery and the entrees missed any opportunity to take advantage of capitalizing on lemons, garlic, and simple seasonings like salt/pepper.
Recap: Food and Ambiance “on the Hill” is more authentic for spending almost $600.

The food here is terrible to make it even worse. The prices are high for what you’re getting what you’re not getting much the quality of food is just not there. I found the waiter to be very impatient and Very untenable to our table. The chef came out one time to talk to somebody else in the restaurant. I found him to be very rude And condescending. I would never ever go back to this place. I would save your money and go to Fratelli‘s, which is the best Italian restaurant in the St. Louis area.

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Their food is authentic Italian. The service is 5-Star. I accidentally ordered the wrong wine. Even though it was totally my fault, our waitress Dee made me feel like it was no a big deal. She brought me a brand new glass.

Robust menu. The food is great. Calamari was excellent. I had steak, cooked exactly how I ordered and wife had the salmon. Desert was on point as well. Wife had her chocolate martini and I had my espresso with our tiramisu. We sat in cellar which I didn’t even know they had. Very nice, quiet atmosphere. Service was overall fantastic. Thanks!
