We were at the end of the bar and it was hard to get service. While waiting for our food, we finished our first drinks and the bartender took our glasses and never came back to take our order for another round. Only when the food came out she came back and we could get drinks.
Overall definitely a solid experience every time.
Update, I couldn’t help but go back for a second night in a row and the food and service lived up to the previous night. A special shoutout to Mackenzie who was such an amazingly attentive and friendly server both nights. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone in West Chester.
1. ATMOSPHERE (5/5) – This is a no-brainer. Spacious, mid-century barn chic, with tons of light, this is a great place to meet up with friends over drinks and eats!
2. FOOD (3/5) – Unfortunately, food is just… OK. Deviled eggs were decent, and Bao Buns stole the show, but Sausage sandwich was pretty dry and bad and Blackened salmon salad was just “alright.” My friend enjoyed his All American Burger and I thought the Brisket Dip was slightly disappointing with lack of depth in the au jus.
3. SERVICE (4/5) – Server was at times difficult to hail, but when we did not like the Sausage sandwich, she did offer to exchange it into something else which was very nice of her. With place this big and busy on a weekend, some drop-off in service level is to be expected so it’s not too bad.
Will I return? Maybe if I am looking for a nice spot to eat with friends… but at this charming town of West Chester, those are dime a dozen! I will most likely try different places for better food.
Not that I can about atmosphere but since Google is asking. I feel like this place has no real soul – what is it? It has like nautical upscale them but seems to be more of a classic upscale American?
I think it’s worth going here but I would not have a special event here based on my one experience.
