Came by on the wife’s suggestion and was not disappointed ! Clean, modern and slick dining experience with food to match. Onion bhaji was flavoursome and perfectly seasoned with spice. Main course of chicken was nice and hot, accompanied by fluffy jeeru rice and garlic naan. All washed down with the obligatory Tiger beer (or two). Service was quick, attentive and polite and very reasonably priced at $65 in total. Can’t wait to visit again – highly recommended

We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. We ordered vegetable chowmein, Gobi Manchurian, and veg fried rice, and all the dishes were fresh, flavourful, and well prepared. The Gobi Manchurian was perfectly crispy with a delicious balance of spice, while the vegetable chowmein and fried rice were cooked just right with generous portions of vegetables.
The service was equally impressive — staff were polite, attentive, and quick to serve. Overall, a very satisfying meal with excellent food and warm service. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to others.

Had a blast celebrating my partner’s birthday here! Started with pani puri (good but tangy ), veg momos Manchurian (unique & yum!), (order mild food , medium was spicy ) and wow – soya chap was finger-licking amazing paired perfectly with garlic naan. Service was top-notch, especially the guy serving hard drinks . Plus points for the spacious hall vibing with Bollywood tunes . Parking’s a breeze too – just call the number inside the lot. Highly recommend!!

Loved the menu as it’s not your same old dishes they really captured the true taste of India including a fusion menu and street food menu. Nothing but an all round good experience here. Staff are kind and welcoming and always smiling. Food and wine was great. A very happy couple.

Views are very nice; taste is appreciable for most of the dishes. Staff is friendly and take care of the customers. Has bathrooms for the customers to use inside, licensed alcohol bar available as well as a full extensive Indian menu and serves South Indian dishes on the weekends.

Our first time at The Ark and the food and service was wonderful. They couldn’t do enough for us. The goat curry was out of this world. Great prices …there was 4 of us and with starters, mains and drinks was less than $100 per couple. We will definitely be back!

Friday night dine in dinner or takeaway at the ark is becoming a regular affair for me . Hands down best Indian restaurant in Newcastle. I have been to all Indian restaurants in Newcastle & Maitland area out of all ark is fairly new but by far the best authentic food. I have tried all different dishes and can’t fault any love their food and service . Excellent portion sizes . It’s 5 star from me for my every visit .

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was unbelievably disappointing. The food was terrible—worst, bland, and nowhere close to what was described on the menu. It genuinely felt like no care or effort went into preparing it. I just took one bite of the curry and I can’t chew it.
The staff made the experience even worse. They were rude, unprofessional, and seemed completely uninterested in helping. Every request felt like an inconvenience to them, no courtesy, Overall, this was one of the worst takeaways experiences I’ve had. Definitely not worth the money, time, or frustration. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t go from next time.
