Paid $15 for this bowl for absolutely no chicken and didn’t open to realize until I got 30 min away home. Would love a refund!

We just had dinner for the 1st time at the newly opened CoreLife Eatery located in Ann Arbor’s Westgate Shopping Center. They have many healthy options, including salads and bowls… they offer suggested bowls, plus build-your-own options — more than any other spot in town. Because it is a new place I am willing to try it a few times to give them time to get everything right. I ordered the Korean barbecue pork rice bowl, only they ran out of pork so we substituted beef. The steak in my bowl was warm, not hot. The food assembly was good until the last station, they forgot to add the house made BBQ sauce. And I only noticed that because the bowl was rather dry. So I had to go back for that. The beef was well done and a bit chewy. The drinks are all natural and quite refreshing. Everything is competitively priced. All in all it was a better than average experience with room for some improvements. Next time I’ll try the Cobb salad and see if I can adjust my rating up.

Nice little find for a healthy, filling, quick-serve place. My husband and I lived in California for a few years and this place reminds me of a lot of the restaurants there. The coconut curry soup was really tasty (was only lukewarm, though) and my Korean BBQ bowl was good too. I wasn’t ready for it to be as spicy as it was but I can’t wait to go back and try something else.

One of the best spots in Ann Arbor for a wholesome, healthy meal! Reminds me of a more customizable, and creative version of chipotle.

Pros:
lots of signature bowls and make your own bowls!, affordable,
lots of healthy options,
nice employees

Cons:
the noodles in the Thai peanut bowl today were very hard (surprising because I’ve never had this issue before),
location isn’t ideal for most students in Ann Arbor but that’s barely a real con

PRO TIP: get the core life app for $5 off first order!

Highly recommend! The flavors have never disappointed and I always go here after one too many unhealthy meal

I ordered the white chicken chili with bread which was incredibly good! The problem was with the Buffalo Mac and cheese- the chicken was perfectly sauced (not too overbearing but flavorful) but the macaroni was TERRIBLE. It was so overcooked that it looks like mashed potatoes! I ended up just picking the chicken out and throwing away the rest so it was quite a waste. Definitely not my first choice of places to go in the future.

The food felt fresh and ingredients nice. The portions were small. I got the Sriracha ginger tofu and it was okay. The sauce was tasty but it didn’t feel like a complete meal. The broccoli cheddar soup was disgusting, worse I’ve ever had. Overall okay experience.

Unfortunately the food here is just average which isn’t good enough for the price. I got the Southwest Grilled Chicken and Purple Rice bowl and the flavor just wasn’t there despite the fact that it comes with a lime cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette dressing which should be very bold. That said, the chicken itself was cooked well, and the Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade was really good. The design and layout was nice, but they really need to step up flavor-wise. There’s a lot of competition in this space here, and I’d rather go to Fresh Forage or something similar to that 100% of the time.

Awesome food and friendly staff. I did not see the lady in the advertisement though! She obviously became super famous and decided that showing up to work was no longer a requirement.

I ain’t even mad gurl. I’d be on the same stuff.

Great food. I just wish they named this place something else. I can never remember the name. It sounds more like a pilates studio.

I usually make my salad and it’s great! I love the sweet potato bits I think that you get better flavor when they have been sitting longer rather than straight fresh out of the oven. Ik it sounds crazy, but trust me!
