Unfussy Japanese spot serving steak, teriyaki, seafood dishes & other basics in a modest interior.

Masato Japanese Restaurant is still as good as ever! I hadn’t been here in ages, but the food did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. The prices are super reasonable too—hard to find quality this good for so little these days! Whether you’re craving sushi, hibachi, or just a quick, tasty meal, Masato delivers every time. So glad I decided to come back… it’s definitely staying on my go-to list!

Nice small Japanese steak house. The tables and surroundings were clean. The kitchen is open, so you can glimps in there at any time. The staff were very friendly and worked to serve their customers. The food was cooked to order fresh and had decent flavor. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The fried rice was rice with soy sauce, no eggs or veggies. The tuna steak was a bit fishy. I would suggest washing it before cooking it for a better flavor. The teriyaki chicken was swimming in sauce and was delicious. The veggies were just zucchini and onions. The fried cheesecake delicious it was a cheesecake egg roll with syrup on the side. Overall, it was a nice little mom and pop shop. The prices were great. If you haven’t already. Give this place a shot.

I will never be back to give my money to such awful people! I witnessed the manager bullying and degrading the servers tonight to the point that more than one of them were crying. The whole restaurant witnessed it. It was a busy night and that caused some backed up orders and a few ignorantly angry customers (if every seat is taken when you walk in, there will be a wait. go somewhere else if you’re in a rush). My server was awesome and very kind, I wish I knew her name and a better place for her to work. I feel so bad that she has to work for such disgustingly mean people.

The chicken teriyaki dinner is a classic! They allow the option to substitute rice for double veggies and have double salad instead of soup, which helps everyone order something they like. The waitresses were very kind and welcoming. There were 2 large parties which slowed things down a bit, but the team were communicative and made sure we had all we needed during the wait.
There aren’t many places you can have a sit down dinner for less than $15 anymore, and this is definitely one of the best!

They don’t serve sushi for lunch, but that’s fine. Instead my gf and I both got teriyaki yakisoba and it was terrible. The teriyaki sauce was way too salty and there was so much it soaked everything on the plate, the noodles were overcooked and falling apart, and the chicken thighs were overcooked and stringy.

Drove in for business thinking about sushi the whole time. I usually try to find a good sushi spot when I travel and this did not disappoint!
Sat at the bar on a Monday at 7p. The restaurant was quiet and I was only 1 of 2 tables in the bar.
The itame, Victor, was polite and friendly. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, Luis roll and techno roll. See pic. The restaurant was clean and well kept as well as the board serving sushi.
VERY good, fresh, nothing overpowered the other ingredients. A light fry on the Luis roll and nice presentation.
I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good sushi meal! $6-7 for each roll. $9 for a large sake! Great price!!

My spouse and I absolutely adore this place! However, recently we’ve noticed that they’ve been a bit stingy with their portion sizes, especially when it comes to paying for extra veggies. The staff is still very pleasant, but we think adding some music or a television would really enhance the dining experience. Sometimes it feels a bit too quiet in there, almost like we’re dining in a library. The floors could definitely use a good cleaning or maybe even some new carpeting. The overall cleanliness of the place is not up to par, and it seems like it has been neglected over the past few years. Hopefully, they will make some improvements soon and create a better ambiance for their customers.

I was very disappointed with masatos. I have never had a problem until I went last week. I ordered a kids meal because they allowed it in the past and I thought it was fine. So the waitress put in the order and came back and informed me that I couldn’t order a kids meal, I then told her in a polite manner that they allowed a kids meal last time. She went back to the kitchen and explained to them about the situation, and she came back with the manager and the manager yelled at me and said “I’m not sure who let you order a kids meal last time, but that is NOT OKAY” she also said, “we would have to pay the difference” and I said “ok” and I was embarrassed because the whole restaurant went silent and I felt everyone staring at me. I didn’t think it was a big deal to order a kids meal, all I wanted was a small portion of food.
