At our Senatobia, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

So today 7/31/2025 I place and order to go. When I got home the slaw was sour and the crab is just horrible and old. I tried to call several times the first 3 if just rang. When I called back a 4th time it kept going to a voicemail.

Thanks for the “slop” guys. This by far is the worse Captain D’s in the area. For some reason the green beans at this location are always terrible…never taste like other Captain D’s. The employees were complaining about being short staffed but I was the only person in the lobby and only two cars in drive thru, but there were 7 employees I counted…not sure if all were on the clock though. I had two orders and two appetizers and had to inform them that they left off the fries on one order and didn’t know marinara come with mozzarella sticks and ranch comes with jalapeño poppers. THIS was the last chance for this location to me. The mac n cheese was a watery mess.
Almost forgot, my fried okra looked like little burned pieces of gravel that were INEDIBLE.
The mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers were presentable though.

Mr. Dee and Tanisha were extremely nice. I want to thank them for being so patient and kind during my visit to them today. They were extremely courteous. If you are in Senatobia, Captain D’s has great food and generous workers!

I have eaten at a lot of captain restaurants. I like Captain D’S Resturant but with the one in Senatobia Mississippi. It’s got to be one of the worst one of the worst Captain D’s in the country, fish was hard and cold, macaroni, and cheese was cold,
I got a baked potato and It was horrible. Service was horrible no silverware. I’m just telling you they will never ever be another one from Senatobia, Mississippi, that I will set my foot in. this place was terrible.

Went thru the drive thru and ordered food. Got back on interstate and headed south. The food we received was not what we ordered.We should have checked before we left. But we decided to eat anyway because we were on the interstate and wasn’t gunna drive all the way to come and turn around. The French fries were cold and the hush puppies and the fish not cooked completely. And of course the drinks were wrong because we didn’t get what we ordered. We stopped in Batesville threw it in the garbage and got Popeyes chicken. So if ours was wrong so was someone else’s because they got our food.

I got the Deluxe Seafood Platter w/ Steamed Broccoli and Mac & Cheese sides. With an add-on of Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya.
2 very, very small pieces of fish, the Broccoli is cold as ice. The Jambalaya has NO sausage or shrimp, just a bowl of rice with a seafood gravy poured on top.
This is by far the absolute worst Captain D’s I’ve ever visited.

The food was not cooked well. The fish was raw and slaw was old. No tarter sauce, ketchup, or cocktail sauce. Dispensers were empty. Fountain drink machine did not work. Awful experience for $35.70. We will not go back!!
