First time visiting Pho Ba 9, (5374 Walzem rd) because our normal Pho spot was closed. Started with the dumplings and they were perfect.

This Vietnamese restaurant is hands-down the best in San Antonio. Every single dish we tried was fantastic—from the comforting, aromatic pho to the flavorful broken rice dishes, the bold and spicy Tom Yum Thai hotpot, and the fresh, perfectly cooked seafood.

We are not come to this restaurant for the Pho!! I know they are famous for their Pho, but you are seafood lover, you should try their Steamed Lobster, Spicy Clam, Ginger and Scallion Crab. We tried Fish Maw and Crab Soup too.
Every thing was it’s own delish taste and seasoned just right. Not to spicy, you can taste the sweetness of lobster meat, the smell of fresh crab and all of the seafood are not smell fishy at all.
It’s kinda $$$ for the seafood menu, but it’s worth it!!!

First time coming here, food was pretty good and service was as well . My Mongolian beef was cooked just right and had lots of flavor. Egg roll was crunchy and delicious, and my black iced coffee was great. They have lots of food choices

I am very picky with my BUN BO HUE because it wasn’t made right it will hurt my stomach, but this restaurant has my favorite dish on point. This is the most frequently ordered dish that I order every time I visit Pho Ba 9. I don’t know who the owner is, but the staff is wonderful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Awesome spot for pho in San Antonio. I was craving pho and this was a great spot to fill that. I got the combination special and the broth was just right. Fried egg rolls were on point. My friends of Thai was great too. Everything came out super fast and I was very surprised. Staff was super friendly and patient. I will definitely come back to try more.

I picked up lunch right at 12:30pm. My order ready confirmation was received 5 minutes before it was due so it was timely waiting when I arrived. The employee immediately handed it to me. I was greatly surprised by the detail in packing the food! We ordered Pho (the combo) and Sautéed frog with lemongrass which was perfectly seasoned. Also a combination fried rice. The sweet tea and the Vietnamese coffee were good as well. This restaurant is as authentic and delicious as it gets! I will probably be trying every dish in the menu. It was sooo good!

I am a fatty and a foodie, a “fatoodie” as I call it. What can I say? Nevertheless, I am a picky one at that, especially when it comes to Asian food since I have a taste for authenticity. Without a doubt, the food at Pho Ba 9 is super authentic, otherwise I couldn’t eat it. The food was not super greasy like a lot of other restaurants that cannot compare. Oh my goodness! How I cannot get over this catfish and vegetable soup I had. The fish was not fishy at all and it was super fresh. The portion was huge! Not what I expected at all. I’ve ordered it 3 times in a week because it is just that good! Their lobster is fresh and they even have live lobster to cook for you. The sauce is on point for that lobster. I don’t even know what we ordered but it was well worth it! We had some pork ribs that make you want to lick your fingers after you finish with the meat and the bones. Their garlic vegetables were so delectable. They have a huge variety of foods that all sound so delicious I have a hard time picking. Their spring rolls were nicely packed and rolled and delicious also. My friends had their vermicelli noodles and they loved it as well! The service here is great and it’s very family friendly. The prices are definitely fair and worth it for the quality. I would recommend having a party here if people like good Asian food. I am definitely going back.
