I shall call this an “interesting” spot. Love the catchy red facade that hints a dark paneled pub is behind it. Inside has more of a trendy, well-lit, Specialty cocktail vibe. I found it to be an unusual contrast with the basic burger/fry menu. The smash burger and shoestring fries were great and I thought priced very well. It’s just an unusual contrast for my basic tastes and not being a fan of trendy cocktails. I would come back for the burger.

Was greeted when we walked in. Restaurant is small but very nice and homey feel. Staff was attentive and helpful. Food was excellent and good value. Would definitely recommend.

Entering the restaurant, there is no host stand. Just sit wherever you like. There is limited seating as the establishment is rather small. You can see into the kitchen a bit from any seat. The steak frits are decent. The fries are thin cut with light seasoning, cooked well. The steak is also cooked with skill but the cut of meat leaves it with a slightly sandy texture after chewing. The sauce is delicious in combination with the steak and fries. I would not say this is worth the $34 spent on it, but it would be good for business meetings with the clean plates. The cocktails are very non-specific, with the one I ordered saying nothing about spiciness and then arriving with a dried chili pepper as a garnish with some spiciness mixed in. It was quite good, but not what I expected from the list.

Fries are immaculate. Food is generally pretty good.
Only downfalls are the atmosphere & prices/servings. Burgers are pretty small for prices. My regular burger (ordered how it comes) was missing toppings. The atmosphere is rough. Tiny space, very loud.
Honestly one of my favorite places, but I tend to avoid it for reasons stated.

Amazing little restaurant in downtown Evansville Indiana.
Very straightforward and simple menu. Plenty of options but not too many that it’s overwhelming.
Had the Hot Chicken sandwich, along with some Spicy Fries, and a wonderful drink. Apologies, i was enjoying the sandwich too much to take a first photo.
The food was wonderful. Staff was very attentive. And the prices are on point. You can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend for something off the beaten path.

Amazing! The staff could not be more friendly. We were made to feel so welcome. Great craft beer and cocktails. We ordered the brussel sprouts, hot honey chicken sandwich, Chicken Milanese and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was spectacular! A cute little place that knows how to serve great food and customer service.

I’m in town for work from San Antonio. After searching and searching I found Samuels. Ended up eating there 3 times in a week. Food quality is too notch but the service is even better. Sat at the bar the first day and had a salad with hot honey chicken, which was not a menu item but definitely should be. The bartender sold me on trying the burgers which I came back for the next day. SOLID smash burger with tons of flavor and the fries are worth their weight in gold. Then the waitress sold me on the steak bites which I came back for on day 3. Im not a sirloin fan but this was the most tender sirloin ive ever had.
I’ll be traveling through a few times a year and will definitely swing by Samuels everytime.

First time here. We were greeted and sat right away. This is a cute little restaurant. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, club style. My husband ordered the patty melt. The sides are sold separately, so we ordered the regular fries, with aoli sauce. It was all really good. We also ordered 2 drinks that were really good. We would recommend trying this cute place.

Nice and cozy place with limited seating, so realize there may be no available seating. We got lucky and a table just opened up when we visited on a Friday. Food was good and prices about as expected. Other couple we were with ordered the Steak Frites and asked for medium well but was told the item was only served medium rare… and maybe medium… which we found odd. Why not let the customer order as they so desire? The only other issue was the waitress was overly attentive, stopping by the table every 3 minutes, almost to the second. I’m guessing it was to keep tables turning fast due to very limited seating but instead it was a conversation interruption repeatedly for us. Definitely worthy of a visit to experience the food but just a few small wrinkles to be aware of.
