Came here for carne asada fries. I’m Mexican and grew up eating real, authentic Mexican food, so I know this is an Americanized dish but 10/10, these were amazing. The flavors were on point, portions were very generous (even for a half order), and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Super friendly, quick, and efficient service. It’s a hole-in-the-wall, but none of the nearby spots come close.

Ordered a carne asada torta. Torta came out nice and hot! Wish the torta was wrapped so meat wouldn’t fall out, but it was yummy overall.

Carne asada meat was good, just a teensy bit dry. Salsas were good too! Liked that there were free chips. Would come back again to try more things on the menu!

Super fabulous carne asada burrito and crunchy hard shell shredded beef taco. Also had the combo #1 and separately a bean tostada. All were great tasting flavorful not spicy but not bland not salty but just just right, and they were fast. Nice portions and total was $33 before tip. Green salsa is mild and delicious and red is medium spicy but not super spicy. Highly recommend it’s better than Pancho’s and Macho’s, it’s similar to Max’s & Roberto’s.

Oh man, where do I start. I brought my two toddlers here at 9pm on a Sunday night to just get something quick for dinner on our way home from a long exhausting day. Ordered the carne asada fries.
5 stars for presentation. Was so beautif in the box that i took a picture and sent it to friends.
5 stars for quality. Every individual fry was perfectly cooked, every piece of meat, the sour cream wasn’t like it’s been left out, the guac was super fresh, the tomatoes, the cheese, everything. Nothing was burnt or under cooked, nothing was too fatty or done half-assed.
5 stars for taste. Was absolute perfection. I even asked the guy working the front if it’s always like this because if so I’ll be here 10 times a week

I wish i could give more than 5 stars. What an amazing little find and an incredibly delicious and satisfying meal.

This nice little restaurant is tucked right next to another and much more vibrant, Mexican restaurant. However, DON’T PASS THIS UP.

I ordered the California Burrito !
For $11, this was one of the largest burritos I’ve had and the flavor is out of this world. You have a choice of meat. I chose Carnitas. They add fries inside the burrito and the cheese is creamy but crispy as well.

I will also mention that I’m 6’4 220 lbs and I couldn’t finish this burrito. Ending this review, it’s important to note that heating this up the next day for leftovers almost had my mind thinking it was better than it was when it was fresh!

TLDR; Small restaurant, amazing service, amazing quality in their food and every bite is just as good as the last.

Have gone to La Posta for years. Mostly enjoy their carne asada burrito, shredded chicken Mex Salad, and rolled tacos. Recommend.

Some serious hardworking people here. They love what they do. You can tell in the food. They greet everyone with a kind demeanor. They are quick and their food is delicious. It’s different than other Mexican restaurants where some beans how they are cooked can make me sick. Not here. I go here a lot although there’s another famous restaurant to it. I appreciate their diligence, consistency and their customer service far more!

Other taco shops seem to be trying too many trendy things. And while amongst the people I know, the shop next door is the “popular” one, La Posta has been consistent and every time I eat there it is superb. Try their fish tacos or their carne asada fries (they use seasoned fries!). Everyone has been kind to me there. They have the traditional San Diego taco shop feel.
