Live music and huge portions this place was well worth stopping by and would return to here again! The guitarist was very talented. I got a burrito that I expected to be big, but I didn’t expect to eat it over the course of two meals and a snack! Their nachos were also very tasty. Great service. The salsa was also worthy of note. We gobbled it up before our food was ready.

Alcapulco has the best taco salad on the island. The portion was huge and priced wonderfully. They were short-staffed when we went, but you wouldn’t know it from how kind and attentive they were. I watched the staff treat everyone around us with the same friendly and efficient service.

It was our 1st visit, they had live music and he was a pleasure to listen to. I have a feeling that many customers are regulars. We weren’t welcomed as I think we should have been. Kinda rude. The 2 female employees acted more like we were a bother. We stayed anyways. Food was OK, not a lot of flavor but they gave you a huge portion. It’s not a big restaurant and there are about 4 tables outside. If we found ourselves in the area again I’m not sure if I would go back, not because of food but because of the rudeness. I love Mexican food but a side of kindness or a smile goes a long way

My friend and I stop in whenever we need good Mexican food. The chips are fresh, thick and crispy and the salsa is thick and rich in flavor. I always order the Shrimp Diablo … I think this one is the best on Oahu and as good as ones I’ve had on the Mainland. My friend ordered fish tacos … He loved it but said It was too much food for him.

We left full and happy with our meal … We’ll be back!

We’ve been here several times already. This is one of the few legitimate delicious Mexican Food restaurants on the island that has successfully catered to the pallet of the island but still tastes like Homemade Mexican Food.

The ambiance is nice. Our youngest enjoys seeing how vibrantly decorated the place is and he enjoys every piece of art on the walls and the hanging paper banners on the ceiling of the outdoor section. They have a QR code for a complete menu of their goods. I think it’s an extensive menu. Most items have the option for meat are: shredded chicken, shredded beef or ground beef. There are still steak options. There are seafood options. But one thing I didn’t find is the option for black beans. They only serve refried beans. Their refried beans are seasoned well and really delicious. Everything we tried was well seasoned and really delicious.

Service here has been pretty good. We’ve only had one time where they forgot something we ordered and it was really slow but during their busiest hours we’ve had amazing service. Drinks come out quickly. Food comes out quickly–which is a welcomed pleasant surprise considering how long service usually takes for sit down dinner on the island. This place is A Must Try if you’ve never been. I highly recommend eating here.

Great experience here! Hawaii isn’t known for its good Mexican food, but this place challenges that stereotype. Everything was great and we had zero complaints.

I got the Macho Burrito with steak and it was massive. My friend got the crunchy tacos and quesadilla starter and he really liked them too. Overall, we left full and satisfied with the food and service.

We’ll be back!

Fantastic food, service and ambiance. Staff was that kind of nice where you know it’s genuine. The food, lordy the food. We had the carne asada tacos and the verde burrito. Both were an absolute flavor bomb. Quite possibly the best carnitas I’ve ever had. Here’s the kicker, both the rice and beans were delicious and that’s normally something I hardly eat. Nearly finished both. The Cadillac margarita and rumchata were great drinks as well. Definitely coming back!

I don’t have any pictures because we scarfed the food down too quickly, it was that good! It was also super affordable; one of the more budget friendly options you’ll be getting on this island. The service was great and everyone was super friendly! Highly recommend Acapulcos for some pretty good eats!

A bit more modern take on Mexican food.
The serving size is very large which is good since all the dishes are over 15$-25$
Service was friendly.
Depending on the dish and time of day, the food service can take a bit of time so not a place for a quick lunch. At night, it gets quite busy.

Went to this place after talking to the management company of the strip mall. Had the steak burrito plate. Meals come with chips and salsa, as well as water. Good taste, large portions; fast and friendly service.
