**Canh Bún (House Special Tomato Soup with Thick Vermicelli)** – The broth is absolutely divine—rich, tangy, and deeply savory, with the perfect balance of tomato brightness and umami depth. The thick vermicelli adds a wonderful texture, and the generous serving makes it a meal in itself. **Imperial Rolls** – Crispy on the outside, packed with flavorful filling, and served with an abundance of fresh herbs. The portion (six rolls) is perfect for sharing.**Golden Delight Special Broken Rice** – A *hearty and filling* plate! The broken rice was fluffy, and the combination of grilled meats (especially the juicy pork chop), pickled veggies, fried egg, and fish sauce tied everything together beautifully. The portion is so big, you might even have leftovers.
The service was friendly.Whether you’re craving comforting soups, crispy rolls, or a fulfilling rice dish, Golden Delight nails it—with portions that match the incredible flavors. Highly recommended!
Gotta to early coz there’s always a line and during dinner weekend dinner time it might be hard to find a parking
This time, I ordered the signature Golden Delight Pho, and it’s my first time having it in a stone pot—very special! Not only does it look more upscale, but it also keeps the soup warm longer. The broth’s seasoning is perfect, the meat is selected very well, the beef tendon is stewed to a tender and bouncy texture, and the fresh bean sprouts are generously provided. I couldn’t help but nod while eating; it’s so delicious! I also ordered a lychee oolong tea; the sweetness and aroma are just right, and there are even two lychees in the tea—truly delightful.
I also really appreciate their service; every staff member has a smile, answers questions kindly, and takes good care of the customers. You can tell it’s a great restaurant with a warm, human touch!
On a Tuesday 12pmish, it was packed but it’s still possible to just grab a seat within 5min.
$16.50 Golden Delight Pho.
$15.99 3 Items Broken Rice. We picked Charbroiled Pork Chop, Steam Egg, Egg rolls.
$14.99 Rice Cake with dried Shrimp (12pc) (add $1 for Central style). We got the Central style. Heavier version.
$5.50 Pennyworth Juice. Actually wasn’t overly sweet!!
My family and I got the beef pho, spring rolls, and broken rice plate. It was all really delicious and tasted fresh.
Ambiance and Decor: 4/5 Upon entering, you’ll notice the abundance of gold decor. From the water pitchers to the utensils and even the scissors, everything gleams with opulence. The recent renovation has transformed the space into something entirely different, fitting for a new establishment.
Service: 4/5 The youthful staff at Golden Delight is friendly and attentive. They swiftly took our orders, ensuring a smooth dining experience. It’s refreshing to see a younger crew maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service.
Menu and Food: 4/5 Unlike its sister location on Garvey, this branch focuses exclusively on Vietnamese cuisine. We tried the Charbroiled Pork and Egg Roll with vermicelli, as well as the Pork Chop and Egg Roll with tofu skin and broken rice. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot-on. However, my pork chop had a bit more fat than I preferred.
Pricing: 3/5 Golden Delight offers reasonable prices, especially considering the portion sizes. Some menu items, like Banh Beo, are not yet available, but that’s understandable for a new restaurant.
Overall Impression: Golden Delight has room to grow, given its recent opening. With another location on Garvey Avenue, they should fine-tune their menu offerings. I’ll give them a few more months to settle in before revisiting. Parking can be a challenge, so consider street parking.
Pros: Amazing food, great ambiance, good service, good prices, short wait. Clean facilities.
Cons: Loud (but its opening day), and staff seemed overwhelmed and took a bit to get my order.
