This sports bar is a solid spot if you’re looking for a casual dine in to catch a game. The atmosphere isn’t overly fancy but it’s comfortable, with plenty of TVs, and games to keep up with all the action. Service can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on how busy it gets, but overall the staff is friendly enough.

The restaurant has many food selection—there’s a wide variety to choose from, from classic wings, fish and Chips and burgers to a few lighter options. Everything is reasonably priced and portions are fair, making it a good go-to when you just want a relaxed sports bar experience. I’d recommend it if you’re nearby and want a dependable place to watch the game with decent eats.

Solid sport bar with tv to watch sports. Good bar food like any other bar. Plenty of seats. Good variety of draft beer.

Great spot to catch some speedy WiFi and great food! Really nice sweet potato fries. Friendly service and awesome location too.

We stopped here prior to the Nathaniel Rateliff concert right across the street at the soccer field. It was busy as can be, but our waitress was so efficient trying to handle all of the pre concert people. They had a guy right at the entry door welcoming us and everyone as well as on our way out he thanked us for coming. Great management! We didn’t get to stay long, but if we return to Madison, we will. The food looked great but we just didn’t have time with the concert time.

The bar tender shouting “We’re done!” every 10 seconds and forcing people out 30 minutes before closing while people were just sittting and chilling was definitely a choice. Good bar otherwise – but a very bizarre choice to aggressively force out paying customers for no discernible reason.

I have not had tavern fries in 7 years. LJ’s has a dedicated frier so their fries are gluten free. Likewise their burger came with a tasty gluten free bun. If you are truly celiac there is still risk of cross contamination, but I thought they did a pretty good job. The burger must have been larger than a third pound!

Service is terrible. It’s cool sit at the bar can’t even clean the bar. Thanks for the straw. Not offered. I just tent to get my own. Oh I grabbed the towel and cleaned it mysel tough guy. Thanks for your limited menu with 10 people in the place. Oh you need my card for my sofa and beer. Maybe offer kind service and don’t act like you’re all that. You truly don’t know how to train your staff to clean the area where someone sits. You claim you take care of people, take care of your place first, overpriced. Won’t be back. Dave your time and energy. Big whop you got like 10 tvs.

Legit and reliable for watching your sports team. Service is uninspired. The French fries are crinkle cut – you’ve been warned.

LJ’S is a sports bar and grill right across the street from Breese Stevens field. It wasn’t busy when we got there but picked up quickly. We got cheese curds which were plentiful and good. Our table got a burger, chicken ranch wrap, chicken strips and salad. The fries were good too.

Food was above average for a sports bar. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap. It was a little small but good tasting, but the side of broccoli cheese soup was excellent. My wife got the beef quesadilla, which was excellent. My Octoberfest beer from 3 Sheeps was excellent. Service was also excellent. I generally prefer taprooms to brewpubs because I think they have better beers since they can pick best of breed from multiple breweries. I can definitely recommend this place for good casual dining and watching sports.
