I recently visited this Starbucks location in Arlington and had a mixed experience.

My girlfriend and I are regular Starbucks customers — we go almost daily. We were actually excited to find this location because it’s the closest one to our home, and we were looking forward to making it our new regular stop. I typically order a caramel Frappuccino with oat milk, and she gets a customized Pink Drink. We enjoy the consistency and comfort that Starbucks usually provides.

The baristas assisting us during this visit were polite, patient, and seemed to be doing their best — especially what appeared to be newer team members. They handled customers professionally.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere became uncomfortable when a manager began addressing employees in a visibly frustrated and tense manner on the floor in front of customers. The interaction involved repeated corrections and gestures that noticeably changed the energy in the room.

Coaching staff is part of leadership, but doing so publicly in a way that creates tension impacts both employees and customers. As someone who was hoping to make this our regular location, it was disappointing to experience.

I truly hope this feedback reaches the right people, because the staff themselves were respectful and hardworking — they deserve strong, supportive leadership.

Waited in line in the cold for an hr for the holiday merch release and when staff went inside the store, they started taking items off the shelf for themselves. It’s incredibly unfair practice to do that, and in front of everyone in line to see none the less. Manager defended the staff as well not correcting the behavior. I will also be taking this up with corporate. Treating your customers like this is wild, no wonder this location has such poor reviews.

Photo attached was taken while waiting in line outside while the staff set up. Notice how a plush is missing and that a glass bear cup was missing. Of the employees told me the other girl came in early to get it for herself, but if that’s the case she should have waited in line if she wasn’t even on the clock.

Again, I’ll make a formal complaint to corporate.

Irwin helped us right before they were getting ready to close. He was so nice. Let us taste the new 1971 coffee and explained all about the flavor profile. Just really seemed into the product he was selling. Nice to see. Great job Irwin!

I always get the same order at every Starbucks, and this is the only location that never includes the add-ins I pay for. I’ve ordered maybe 4 times there now and they do the same thing every time. Genuinely the worst at making drinks

They gave us spoiled milk, we noticed it tasted off so we didnt drink more. Later on in our road trip after the ice melted you can see the spoiled milk rise to the top. I will never go to Starbucks again.

I always get the same coffee from Starbucks. But today ı was there and ı got same thing. That one was the terrible coffee ı had in my life. And ı think this girl is new. I never seen her before. They added the vanilla syrup but ı didn’t want it. And ı told them. They changed it. But ıt was still bad.

Hiwut (I think her name was) was incredibly rude and had a bad attitude the minute I went up to the register. She rushed me and acted as if I was an idiot, even though no one else was in line waiting. Then she got my order wrong and I had to ask it to be remade. The rest of the staff were unfriendly as well. I don’t recommend this location at all.

The manager I think, old woman with dark skin,was so slow and rude. It’s like shes allergic to smiling. She acted like I was a huge inconvenience when I was ordering and was so rude. Her tone is condescending and I have no idea how she still works here. Don’t go to this store.

Very disappointing experience at Starbucks. The customer service was very bad, and the quality has gone downhill. The staff was busy talking to each other while serving customers, and our cups were only half full. For the prices they charge, this was unacceptable.
